Charlotte's POV
"Hey, lads!"
Charlotte waltzed into the studio with a smile on her face and a hop in her step. The boys noticed her delighted expression and rose a brow.
"Hey, love, did something happen?" George asked, setting down his instrument and walking over to her.
"I've got the whole day off! I turned in some extra credit work and my professor told me that I was doing so well he'd let me have a day off. So I came here to say hi to you guys,"
"Ohhhh that was nice of him," Paul commented.
Charlotte scanned the room with her eyes and made eye contact with John, who smiled at her before turning his attention back to his guitar. This gave Charlotte a burst of confidence and a not-so-great idea.
She walked over to him and sat in a chair next to him, watching him strum chords. Of course, John was engrossed in his thoughts, so he didn't notice her sit next to him.
"Hey, John," Charlotte greeted.
John jumped and looked at her with his small brown eyes.
"Hey, Lotti. What are ya up to?" John asked.
"School, that's pretty much it," Charlotte shrugged.
"Ahhh, it's nice to see ya here, I'm writing a song here with Paul, do you wanna read some of our lyrics? We haven't really put it together so it's pretty disorganized," John rambled, handing her a piece of crinkled paper with messy handwriting.
Close your eyes
And I'll kiss you;
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true;
And then while I'm away
I'll write home every day:
And I'll send all my loving
To you;"Oh wow, that looks nice," Charlotte complimented.
"Ta," John thanked her, plucking the paper from her fingers and stuffing it into a messy notebook.
"Hey, love," George pulled up a chair and plopped down next to Charlotte.
John decided he wanted to leave as George had just arrived, so he picked up his stuff and moved across the room.
George watched him travel to the adjacent wall and reset the previous arrangement that he had.
Not thinking anything of this, George shrugged his shoulders and looked at Charlotte.
"Do ya wanna go swimming later today?" George held her hand and drew circles on her soft skin with his thumb.
"Uhhhhhmmm, I'm sorry I can't," Charlotte began twiddling her thumbs, which caught the attention of John across the room.
"Hmm? Why not love?" George furrowed his brows in confusion. Meanwhile, John was silently watching and eavesdropping on their conversation.
Charlotte peeked up to see if the boys could hear them, and they were all seemingly busy with their instruments.
"I'm on my period,"
She said a bit too loud. Paul, John, and Ringo's ears perked up, and they refrained from looking up at her, might their cover be foiled. Though they all glanced between themselves, seeing who else picked up what she said.
