George's POV

The boys were sitting in the recording studio eating a snack. Of course, John and George distanced themselves from each other and sat on opposite sides of the room. Paul and Ringo naturally gravitated to their partners, Ringo with George, and Paul with John.

Ringo sat down beside the guitarist, who wore a distressed expression.

"Everything okay?" He hesitantly asked.

"No, Carlotta usually shows up by this time, but she isn't here," George massaged the bridge of his nose, stressed.

"Well maybe she's just busy, she is workin' towards a degree," Ringo reassured the man.

"I guess so, thanks Rings," He smiled at his friend, turning his attention to his guitar.

After a few minutes of random strumming and humming, George spoke.

"I have a song idea,"

"You do?" Ringo asked, setting his drum sticks down and turning his full attention to the guitarist.

"Yeah, I've got some basic lyrics down so far in me head, I just came up with them now,"

"Go on, I'm listenin',"

"You don't realize how much I need you
I love you all the time and never leave you
Oh come on back to me
I'm as lonely as can be
I need you,"

"That sounds great, maybe John can help ya polish it,"

"John? We aren't exactly mates right now,"

"Well ya can't hold a grudge forever, it's not fair to him or you. He apologized sincerely, that's rare in and of itself. Besides, you two are even now, you both committed the same infidelity against each other and now you both should just get over it. Water under the bridge, y'know?"

"Maybe yer right, I don't wanna stay mad at him forever, he's like my older brother, y'know? I kinda look up to him a little bit,"

Ringo didn't need to ask who it was about, because he already knew, it was obviously about Charlotte, something must have happened between them.

"Ready to look over some tapes?" Paul appeared next to them, pointing his thumb at the stairs, John already climbing them and opening the door into the control room.

"Sure," George muttered, setting down his instrument and following the bassist.

Charlotte's POV

1:38 pm

Charlotte skipped school and remained at her and Isabel's flat, swaddled in a blanket with a giant tub of ice cream. Her cheeks were moist with tears and no matter how many times she watches A Hard Day's Night, she never felt any better. Isabel stayed home with her, comforting her and helping mend the emotional cuts and stab wounds on Charlotte's heart.

"I thought he loved me," She sobbed, scooping ice cream on her spoon and turning it upside down, watching the thick custard drip into the container.
