Chapter 19: Uncovered Truths

Heather's POV

I shouldn't have said that, any of it.

I really did mess things up huh.

"You're gonna meet someone special" she said, yeah sure.

It was midnight and I couldn't sleep for shit. Everything, all the relationships that I had with the Avengers are all gone.   

Thor, Loki, or Stephen could've told them since the rest were, well, you know unconscious. They ended up with no major injuries, so that's good.

I was waiting on them to come bursting into my room and question me.

   

*knock knock*

     

Oh that was fast.

I didn’t even think, I quickly put my black hoodie on, since I had nothing but underclothes. It was big enough just to where only my legs and a bit of my thighs showed. I walked to the door and slightly opened it.

"Um hello?"

Fuck.

It was Loki.

"Heather I-"

I immediately shut the door but he had put his foot in between it, so I wouldn't be able to close it.

"I just need to understand dammit!", he raised his voice.

I could tell he wasn't mad, more like desperate for an answer. He deserved one really, but I couldn't possibly tell him.

Can't I?

"There's nothing to understand, just ignore what I said earlier okay.", I said trying not to even look at him in the eye.

"Darling..", he whispered before he grabbed my chin upwards to look at him.

"I want to understand. This situation had to do with my f-father and-."

"He's not your father.", I said firmly, almost mad.

I hated the fact that Loki was related to anything of Odin, it gave me chills. A million years ago I was betrayed by the only person I've ever loved and trusted, then time passes and when I finally trust again, with Loki.

Turns out.. IT'S HIS ADOPTED SON!

Destiny mocks us in every way she can.

"Heather please...", Loki kept whispering, I don't even know why he should I'm pretty sure Thor would know he's here.

He opened the door and closed it behind him, and swooped me back against the wall, both his arms on the wall closing me from going anywhere. For almost a second I was scared but that went away real quick. We were both really close now, staring into each others eyes.

Gods those eyes, they get me every time.

"Yes Loki..", I whisper back.
