Hey readers! I just wanted to apoligize for the missed update last weekend. I was very busy throughout the week and still am, but I'm writing in my spare time. I don't normally do these things before and after books, but I didn't want to make a new part and give you guys false hope, thinking I updated. I know that practically nobody reads these and just scrolls past them (I'm one of those people ^~^), but I'm hoping that people will notice that this isn't my thing and read it. Anyways, for those of you who actually do read this, I just wanted to say sorry for the missed update. I don't like rushing and posting really short and crappy updates because I'm on a time limit, so if I dont have a quality that I think is good enough or it isn't as long as I want it to be... I won't post it. I want you guys to see my best work, and not my rushed work. Anyways, thanks for reading and getting this to 1K, and I hope you keep reading.

I step off the last step and onto the black tiles that lined the hallway and kitchen. The sadness turned into sorrow that I buried underneath a smile for my brothers' sake.

My dad had already left for work, and the cold was still lingering by the door. I lugged my feet across the floor and towards the kitchen where the boys had relocated to the table again to watch spongebob.

I felt so happy to see them, but still sad. I couldn't understand what I was feeling. I wore a smile on my face like a mask, but continually had tears in the corners of my eyes.

I took a deep breath and walked back to the island. I heard Chris' laugh as Squidward was yelling at Spongebob and Patrick for having fun.

I unlocked my phone and opened twitter for the last time today.

Mini had retweeted a few people that said were going to PAX. I just stared at them blankly and scrolled past it. So what if other people were more lucky than I was, this is practically normal.

I check the clock. 9:15. 15 minutes until Liam and Chris' school starts. I open a conversation with my mom.

'Hey mom, where are you? Are you gonna take the boys to school?'

I send it and then wait a few seconds. The three dots flash for 30 seconds and then her message appears on the screen.

'Hey, I've gone to get gas. I'll be back in a few minutes to take them to school. Could you put their lunches in their backpacks and set them by the door please?'

'Sure mom,' I text back and turn off my phone.

I look around the kitchen and spot their lunch bags on the end of the counter. Liam's was a blue lined with red, superman lunch bag, and Chris' was a green and yellow with a 3d frog on the front.

I grab their handles and walk over to their bags. Liam's bag was blue and Chris' was neon orange. I put the lunches in their bags and zip them up.

"Liam! Chris!" I call them.

"Yeah?" Liam answers.

I go back into the kitchen.

"You guys go upstairs and brush your teeth,"

Liam groans.

"You have about 15 minutes before you have to go to school."

Chris whined as Liam got up from his seat and headed upstairs. I walk over to Chris and pick him up, putting him on my hip and following Liam upstairs.

"Where's daddy?" Chris asks as he tugs on my hair.

"He went to work." I smile at him and follow Liam up the shaggy carpeted stairs.

"You excited for school?" I ask Chris cheerfully.

Without hesitation he says "No."

My mouth falls open. "Why not?"
