We walked into the cold frozen yogurt store and stood in line.

It was a small store with white tiles on the walls and sleek hardwood floor. There were about 3 tables on each side of the door, and the yogurt bar was opposite the entrance.

There were about 12 different flavours you could have. There was Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon, Strawberry and Banana, Cookie Dough, Mint, Birthday Cake, Coconut, Lime, Peanut Butter, Cookies and cream, and Raspberry and Kiwi.

"Which flavour are you getting?" Parker asks me.

"I'm stuck between Lemon, Cookie Dough, and Lime." I say with a finger on my lip.

"I think you can get different flavour scoops in a cup," He says, looking at the cups. "I'm gonna get one scoop Coconut, and the other Raspberry and Kiwi."

"Ooh, that's actually really smart." I raise my eyebrows and look at the flavours. I guess Lemon and Lime taste the same so I'll just get Lemon and Cookie Dough.

There were a bunch of kids in line who were getting 5 different scoops in a cup and making their parents pay for it. They were all so cute though. One shy little blonde girl didn't get any, so a little brown haired boy shared his with her. I smile at them, they reminded me of myself and Parker.

"What would you like?" A middle aged woman asked joyfully from behind the counter.

Parker looked at me, I guess to make sure I was ready, and then faced the woman.

"I'll have a medium cup with 2 scoops, One Coconut and one Raspberry and Kiwi." He says politely with a smile.

"Sure thing," She smiles.

She had white teeth and sparkling eyes. She looked about 40. Her brown hair was cut short and wavy in all directions. She was wearing a pink headband to match her lipstick, and a green and pink apron over a white t-shirt. She looks like the kind of woman that would bake you cookies because she's so kind.

Her eyes were brown and she framed them with some mascara and soft brown eyeshadow.

She went over to the yogurt, grabbed a spoon and cup, and filled the cup with the two flavours.

"Here you go," She handed him the yogurt. "Barry will ring you up at the register." She gave him a spoon and he moved along the line.

"And what can I get for you?" She sounded like she was talking to a little kid.

"I'll have a medium cup with 2 scoops, one Cookie Dough and one Lemon Please." I smiled.

"No problem." She grabbed a cup and started filling it.

I looked over at Parker who was paying. The cashier looked grumpy. He was an old man who looked like he didn't like children. His nose was big and the wrinkles on his face were deep, like he frowned a lot. He wore a green and pink apron over white shirt just like the woman, and a Blue Jays baseball cap was on his head.

"There you are." She smiled and handed me a cup with yogurt and a spoon in it.

"Thanks," I grinned again and took the cup. I moved onto Barry at the cash register.

"What did you get?" He asked like he wasn't interested as he stared at the register.

"A medium cup with 2 scoops." I said, trying to be loud.

He sighs and types something into the register. "$3.50" he murmurs.

I hand him a $5 bill from my back pocket and he gives me back $1.50.

"Thank you," I say quietly and turn around, walking outside.

That guy really needed to cheer up.
