Craig guided me through the building like he has walked this route a million times. Since a lot of the interviews started around the same time and ended at the same time, the lobby was packed with people. A few were in costumes, and others were dressed normally. I spotted a person dressed like Mario and I nudged Craig with my elbow as I pointed at the cosplayer.
"That's you," I smile as he laughs.
"Aw man, I wish someone would come as High-Mario." He glanced over at me as we walked.
I chuckled. "I thought you were High-Mario?"
A smile spreads across his face as he shakes his head, like he was trying to get it off.
"Oh," He sighed with the smile still stuck to his face. "I don't approve of this."
"I approve of this very good." I say before I can stop myself and we both laugh. I sigh loudly. "Yup, I do English great."
He makes eye contact with me as he laughs. I spotted the cute crinkles by his eyes as he was smiling and purely happy.
Suddenly I was in the feels. I didn't want to look away, the urge to just koala hug him was strong. I was deep in the feels.
Craig looks in front of him for a second and then returns his gaze to me. We weren't even talking just kind of silently looking at each other with goofy grins on our faces.
I look in front of me, so I don't run into anyone, and luckily, I was just about to. I dodge this woman in a lab coat, hopefully cosplaying someone, but I couldn't tell because I was so focused on not running into her.
"Woah," I said to myself as I dodge her and slide to my left into Craig, I look back up at him and wrap my arm around his. I wanted to rest my head
on his shoulder like cute couples do, but we were walking so fast, I couldn't.
But just being this close made me feel all tingly.
We left the building after squeezing through a bunch of people and emerged in the parking lot.
"What's that from?" I ask jokingly as I point at a dirty band-aid on the ground.
"The band aid?" Craig frowns and looks at me, the smile never leaving his face.
I nod as we continue walking. He looks back at it over his shoulder before shrugging.
"Probably from a fourth graders paper cut."
I didn't say anything for a second as we walked down the street, me still hanging from his arm.
"What?" He asks chuckling. Probably the way I was staring at him for so long.
"I meant... What game was it from, but the literal answer is good too," I nod and smile at his realization.
"Ohh!" His head tilted back as he laughed.
"Why would I legitimately ask what a dirty band-aid, in a parking lot, was from?" Our laughter grows and I can see strangers look at us as we continue walking on the sidewalk.
"I don't know," He scratches his nose and looks up at a tall building. He squints against the sun to try to see the top. I look up as well. The sun was to the right of the top of the building, which made it very difficult to try to see the top.
