My view of my mom standing in the driveway grew smaller and smaller as Craig accelerated down the street. I turned in my chair to get one last look before returning to a regular sitting position.
"This is gonna be fun," Craig says, keeping his eyes on the road. He had his left hand on the wheel, his right hand on my thigh, and a goofy grin on his face.
I put my left hand ontop of his that was on my lap and glance at him before smiling.
"Non-stop netflix and chill," I say sarcastically.
Craig starts laughing before saying, "Or cable and coitus," Reminding me of his AskMini where he yells out all the different sex terms for netflix and chill.
"What about twitch and titties?" I giggle.
He chuckles and squeezes my thigh before removing his hand so he can turn a corner.
"We gotta have a party or something," He shakes his head but still has his silly smile.
"Don't you live in an apartment?" I look at him and he glances at me before returning his eyes to the road.
"...Yeah, but it doesn't have to be Project X or anything," he frowns, "just a welcoming party,"
I smirk before putting my elbow on the console and resting my head on my hand.
"I don't need a party,"
He shrugs and stops at a stoplight.
"I could think of some other fun things we could do..." He looks at me with a cocked eyebrow.
I glance at him without moving my head and he smiles.
I raise my eyebrows, "better drive fast then," I say before he does a double take and then laughs.
"Guess I'm getting a ticket today," he says before the light turns green and he speeds up.
All I could do was laugh.
"Slow down!" I say as I giggle and put a hand on his shoulder.
He laughs as well before surrendering to my demands and slowing down.
I'm not gonna lie, it was a long ride. But it was better that I was with Craig. We joked alot, blasted the radio and screamed along to the lyrics. He had a few songs with great bass which made the ride a little more interesting.
Halfway through, I wondered how he has been able to drive to my house alone. I'm sure the first few times is okay, listen to music and what not. But after the second trip, I'd probably get lonely.
I start to feel sleepy, so I lean back in my seat and look out the window. We were getting close to L.A. There were a lot of tall buildings, some for buisness, some apartments. People were flooding the sidewalks, jogging and walking their dogs.
The sun was high in the sky with no clouds and it illuminated everything with a reflection. The sides of the road were packed with parked cars and food trucks. There wasn't much traffic, as Craig said that it seemed uncommonly light today.
I recognized the view from gta and was thrown off for a second. It made me confused as if I was playing first-person gta or if this was real life. I grew familiar with the route we were taking and felt comfortable that there wasn't a jackass with a grenade launcher on the roof of the nearby buildings hunting us down.
"There's Ponsonbys," Craig points at a store we were passing.
"Ponyboys?" I excitedly squeal and look out the window, knowing that when I call it Ponyboys he laughs.
