Jake quickly looked into the mirror to check if his hair was all good and not messy, occasionally he would ruffle up his hair again and fix it if he wasn't satified. He finally settled on how his hair looked and nods to himself, satisfied with it
The blonde then very quickly grabs his jacket and puts it on, before he could leave, he hears his phone buzz, repeatedly. Jake jumped slightly from the excessive buzzing and very quickly grabs his phone off the table to see a row of messages, not only from Henry, but Liam as well
He quickly opens Henry's messages first, since it was the most frequent. It seemed after he started reading though Henry's messages however, Liam stopped

Jake's curiosity would usually get the better of him, but he needed to go to Hailey's place for music club practice. He quickly responds a 'can't it wait for later?' as well as a 'why dont you just text it to me anyway?'

A wave of concern immediately washes over Jake, it seemed genuinely concerning so Jake quickly responds 'okay, im on my way, sit tight' and quickly grabs his things

Jake makes it to the cafe, fair enough, Henry seemed to be vigorously typing and Liam seemed really worried. Jake walked over "Hey, what's going on?" "It's Drew- He uh." Henry seemed a bit shaken
"He hasn't been responding to any of our texts since yesterday, lord knows what what that guy is doing" Liam explained, Jake furrowed his eyebrows "Drew-? but why would he suddenly shut himself out without reason?"
Henry and Liam both look at each other, Jake figures that they know something he doesn't "What-?" "Jake uh, Zoey and Drew broke up two days ago" Henry explained, the blonde's eyes widened with the sudden news
"Wait- Really!?" Liam nodded, Jake grabs a chair and sits down "Hold on, 2 days ago-? Well then why didn't any of you tell me sooner?" the blonde asked, feeling a bit heartbroken with the fact that neither of his friends told him sooner
Henry finally closes his phone and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket "Liam tried to bring it up yesterday during lunch but you ran off to your music club practice thing" "I- I guess didn't get the memo..."
Liam sighed and explained "We're stuck on what to do, he might just want time alone but his lack of interaction yesterday really concerned us and he hasn't gotten back to us this whole morning" "Is that all that you needed to tell me?" Jake asked, wondering if they had anything else to say
