Jester and Queen walked into the dining room. There was some roasted beef on a plate on the table, however it was cold.
They sat across each other. "Sorry if the food's not great... Emerald's the one who usually cooks for me and Clubs, who for some reason isn't here right now. So I'm pretty sure you don't know how to cook."
Queen nodded and looked down in embarrassment. "H-hey! It's fine! Neither me nor Clubs know how to cook either! This beef is leftover from last night, which is why it's cold."
Queen took a bite out of it. It was delicious. She took some more bites out of it. Jester watched in awe as her entire beef disappeared within seconds.
"Mm... This is so good!" Queen remarked, her mouth full. Jester laughed. "Thank Emerald, she made it, not me!"
Queen swallowed. "Thank you Emerald!" She shouted.
"Thank you Emerald!!" Jester got up and shouted as well. They laughed together, but soon after that, Jester's smiled dropped. He quietly sat back down and began poking his beef with a fork.
"Is something wrong...?" Queen asked the gray haired boy.
"Yeah... Everything's great!" He fake smiled again, which Queen still noticed.
He's not the best at pretending, huh? How cute...

Queen sat down on Jester's bed, while the other had plopped himself on a bean bag across the room.
Jester had let Queen into his room. Unlike Joker's room, it was neat and tidy. Nothing was out of place.
Queen sat there patiently, not knowing what to do. Jester was reading a book on the bean bag, and he seemed really interested in it.
The blonde wanted to start a conversation with him, she knew that he would be eager to answer anything that she threw at him. However, she didn't want to disturb his reading.
Queen started humming quietly to herself. She was humming the infamous Parade Illusion. Jester, who had somehow heard her, looked up from his book. He placed it down and walked toward the blonde.
"That's a nice tune..." Jester remarked, startling Queen.
"Oh? Thanks, I guess. It's a song called Parade Illusion, my best friend and her sisters were the ones who created it, though."
Jester sat next to her on the bed. "It sounds really nice!" He told her cheerfully. "Your friends must be really talented."
Queen smiled and nodded. "Mhm..."
The room fell silent. Neither of them knew what to talk about.
Jester walked back to the bean bag, picked up the book he was reading, and sat back down beside Queen.
Queen leaned closer to Jester, trying to get a better look at the cover of the book. Jester's eyes widened at the sudden move and his face had a hint of red on it.
She read the title out loud.
"Alice in Wonderland?! That's my favorite book!"
Jester turned back to her. "R-really?"
"Yep!"
Jester placed the book down next to him and patted it. "Emerald gave this to me a couple of weeks ago, when she found it in another universe. She also said something about me being a egghead idiot and that this would increase my nerd capacity or something like that. I took that as a compliment and accepted it."
Queen giggled. He's so innocent... This is probably what Emerald was talking about when she said that he was a 'smol bean.'
Jester smiled, but then remembered that their faces were just a few inches apart from each other, and looked away again, covering his blushing red face with his hands.
"Oh, did I make you uncomfortable?" Queen asked, leaning away from Jester.
"N-no! It's fine!" Jester stuttered, still not turning back to face her.
Queen smiled. Cute... How could Emerald stay mad at him...?
"Are you usually this shy?"
Jester turned back to her. He seemed to have calmed down. "Nah. If anyone's shy, it would be my friend, Clubs."
"Clubs... You've talked about him a lot, but I don't really know who exactly he is."
"Huh, you're right." Jester got up and opened a nearby drawer. He took out a photo album and sat down next to Queen, this time crossing his legs.
He opened the album and pointed at a picture.
It was a picture of three people. Emerald was one of them. She seemed to be growling at the camera, as if not wanting to be involved in the picture. Beside her was Jester, who was making a peace sign while trapping Emerald in a side hug with his other arm. There was a blue boy beside Emerald on the other side, trying to hide behind the blonde. He had short hair and a yellow mohawk, looking a bit similar to Spade when he was little. He was wearing glasses over his bright yellow eyes.
Jester pointed at the blue haired boy. "This guy right here is Clubs. He's really shy, and from his personality, I can guarantee that he's the opposite of your friend Spade."
Queen turned to the next page. There was another picture. Emerald, Jester and Clubs were still in it, however this time, there was a girl with long light brown hair glaring at Clubs. The blue haired boy seemed to be rolling his eyes in the picture.
Emerald and Jester were just the same, with the blonde trying her best to escape while the other trapped her, only this time having a different background and a different pose.
Queen pointed to the brown haired girl. "Who's this?"
"Hm? Ah, you mean Sky?"
"That's her name?"
"Yep, and it's pretty obvious that she's the opposite of your friend Ai. She's also Emerald's best friend and she really, really, really hates Clubs."
This didn't surprise Queen, since she knew that she was the opposite of Ai, who was in love with Spade.
I wonder how they're both doing right now. Ai's probably really flustered while being alone with Spade for a while... She giggled, not realizing that she did out loud.
If only she knew what chaos was brewing in her universe.
Jester smiled. "Yeah, it's pretty funny when you think about. They've hated each other from the moment they met!"
Queen closed the album and handed it back to Jester. "It's a good thing that we weren't enemies when we first saw each other. I could never bring myself to hate someone like you."
Jester slightly blushed as he got up and placed the book back in the drawer. "Me neither..." He said, barely above a whisper.
And that's when the doorbell rang.
