Chapter twenty-two
---
I'm sorta unhappy with this one. be warned

At 9 o'clock, I arrived back at the dorm after having eaten dinner. I was about so it down on the couch when Eleanor came rushing to me, pulling me into a hug, which led to both of us nearly falling over.
"Harry, I'm so sorry."
Confused, I pulled back. "What for?", I wanted to know, my eyebrows furrowed.
"I promise you, I've wanted to apologise earlier, but I haven't seen you since the morning. So, about the boyfriend thing... I just talked to Louis. I should've known that he was William Smith. It was so obvious, but I somehow didn't even think of it being a possibility! I'd totally understand if you didn't want to do it, after all I know that you two don't really get along. I can ask someone else, yeah? My apologies for pressuring you into doing this."
I reassured her that it was fine, that I didn't at all feel pressured to do it, and... maybe also revealed that I had developed a teeny tiny crush on him, which caused Eleanor to let out a squeak.
"Does he know? Will you tell him?"
"Of course not!", I protested, which caused her to shrug with a with a knowing grin. "We'll see, H, we'll see."
Later that evening, I finally reached my mother. She told me that she had a stressful day at work, that's why she hadn't replied earlier, and then wished me good luck for my law and French papers the next day. It made me smile that she hadn't forgotten about it. Knowing her, she probably even wrote it into the calendar in her phone.
After brushing my teeth and revising one last time (I couldn't help it – I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to answer the questions, so.), I fell asleep, my statute book still in my lap.

Tuesday as well as Wednesday were over before I even knew it. Together with the infamous ASSE presentation, I had already taken five of the eight exams – Law, French, English, and history. Surprisingly, Law and English went really well, maybe even better than the other two. Only maths, social studies, and biology were yet to come.
I merely noticed at lunchtime, while I was sitting at my desk in the dorm that that I had three unread messages and a missed call from Louis – I had totally forgotten that we agreed on chatting. He wrote that his schedule changed, and we could not meet up today. I quickly texted him back that I would be free tomorrow evening as well if that worked better for him. I actually needed the evening to study and revise for when the exams would finally finish off on Friday, but... who was I to deny the prince.
The door banged open, and Niall came rushing into my room, so sudden that I flinched.
"Harry? A maid just delivered flowers addressed to you!"
