"You can never say never
While I don't know when
Time, time, time again
Younger now than I were before"

---

I spent the whole Tuesday preparing for the presentation on Friday. It was by far not the only thing I had to do, but the problem was that I had only prepared my presentation and not Williams. I had to start all over again.

William's work was – it was outstanding, really. It would've been uncanny to take mine when he did a literally perfect one. Like honestly, why was he so good at it? Was there anything he couldn't do? He was one of the best at football players, he seemed to be good at maths, and in ASSE as he was a good talker. Also, he was good looking, and always managed to present himself in a good light. It's not like I hadn't noticed the stares people gave him, admiring him. He exceeded me by far, in – everything.

I just knew that I was going to be so overjoyed when this bloody presentation would finally be over. I had – just to get a good grade – invested so much time in the whole project. I wanted to be done with it, and on top of that, I wouldn't have to talk to William anymore. I could just avoid each other and focus on our studies. Well, as long as he didn't kiss me out of the blue while I was trying to close my locker, pretending to be my boyfriend. Was he even gay? He seemed to be more the homophobic type, the person to tease you if they found out that you were gay.

I sighed and concentrated back on the text. The problem was that I didn't know about what William had planned, and I didn't even know what parts I was supposed to do. But I didn't want to go and search him to ask. At the beginning, I thought I could just do the whole thing and then ask him on Friday shortly before the presentation but I fastly realised that that was way too much work. There were a lot of graphics which I didn't even understand and text and, considering it was ASSE, I also had to watch my body language. I gave in and decided to ask Liam for Williams number, they were friends after all, and he probably had it.

"Liam?", I asked, "could you give me Williams number?"

He looked up from his own studies in surprise. "Yeah of course, why do you need it though? Didn't you say you two weren't getting along?", he wanted to know.

"Just some stuff about the presentation", I explained and saved William's number to my phone after he handed me his iPhone.

16:49 me: Hello, it's Harry. I wanted to ask what parts of the presentations I am supposed to do?

It immediately blinked with a reply.

16:50: William Smith: Who even gave you my number, Styles

That was all he wrote, and even though I answered that I had his number from William, he left me on read for an hour. Bitch. At least he had the audacity to answer at all, I should probably be glad about that.

17:54: William Smith: Page 3-14. Expect for the diagram on page 12.

17:45 Me: Thanks :)

I sent it and immediately wondered why I had put a smiley face there. What the heck was he gonna think now? But he probably didn't care anyway, and the message was already delivered, so I just put my phone away.

Shortly before I went to bed, though, I saw that I had another message from William.

21:34 William Smith: How's your ankle doing? Have you been to the check-up yesterday?
