At lunchtime, we were all sitting in the cafeteria talking about the past week.
"I think I failed math", Ed groaned. "I studied so much, but I had a total blackout! It was the ultimate letdown!"
Niall sympathetically nodded. "Don't worry, Teddy." – we were kind of all addressing him with Teddy now - "These exams don't even count, let's see it as test phase. What about you, William? What exam was the hardest for you?" He spoke with his mouth full, as if he couldn't go a second without shoving more into himself. Which was probably even true, seeing the way he ate.
I watched Louis who was sitting next to me at the table, unpacking some vanilla protein bar and having one corner of his mouth pulled up in a smirk. "I didn't take them. I crossed my name out from the lists in the system, so they wouldn't know I was missing. I really didn't have the time nor the need to do these exams"
I hummed. "Who can the can", but it was drowned out by Niall.
"No way! What do you actually do, as the prince - " he was shut up by Liam slamming his flat hand over his mouth. "Ow! That hurt!", Niall complained, rubbing over his face. "Sorry William, buddy", he then added, digging back into his steak.
We had all sworn not to mention anything that had to do with mine and louis' fake relationship, or his identity at all. That's why Liam violently shut him up. Though everyone in this cafeteria right now would know by Friday who he was, he wanted to keep it a secret until then.
"Did you guys already get your percentage for the ASSE presentation?", I wondered.
"Don't remind me of that! It was such a failure. My partner kept accidentally skipping parts and it was a huge mess in the end", Liam sighed, "But he's a nice guy. Maxwell, he's also on the soccer team"
"Maxwell? That's a coincidence. I share English classes with him"
"Why are you guys talking about me?", someone shouted. I turned around, seeing Maxwell sit two tables behind us with some friends... speaking of the devil. He was laughing.
"And I got 67 percent on the presentation, Li, you?", Maxwell shouted.
Liam replied that he got ten more, then went over to sit with Maxwell for a short while, because some people made annoyed faces at the loud conversation.
"I haven't checked yet", Louis admitted. "But I am sure we did well, don't you think?"
"I'd agree, but I'm sure that homophobic bitch gave us at least 15 less just because she can", I spit out, getting a bit worked up over her for the at least four hundredth time.
"Calm down!", he chuckled, "She's not worth your energy. Just ignore her"
"Is it even allowed to take students out?", I asked, still not over that. Although it bestowed me a kiss off Louis... Just a pity that back then I hadn't figured out my feelings for him yet.
Zayn's eyes widened to the point where I was afraid they'd pop out. "She wanted to take you out?"
"Can we not bring that story up again? Oh god. She asked me to go for dinner with her in the hallway."
"No way! Did you say yes?", Niall asked, suddenly having forgotten about his food.
Who knew he was this much into gossip?
