*three months later*
It didn't take long for Olivia to settle in at all, it's like she's always been a member of intelligence, her friendships between the whole team are amazing and everyone admires her, not just as a friend but how she works and how loyal to hank she is. Today they were walking into work as a big group as trudy called jay over, "your landlords on line 3 waiting for you" she tapped the desk. Jay sighed and nodded, already knowing what it was about before catching up with the team again and running over to his desk to answer this important call.
Jay: "jay speaking"
Landlord: "hey, sorry for the sudden call, I'm just calling to let you know that what we discussed earlier won't work out"
Jay: "really?"
Landlord: "unfortunately yeah, the floor above needs renovating just as much as the damage caused to yours so it could be a week or two before we let your floor back into your apartments. We can arrange for you to stay at our other complex 20 minutes out if you'd like"
Jay: "thanks for letting me know but it's too far away from the station, don't worry about it, I'll find something"
Landlord: "again, we're very sorry about this"
Jay: "it can't be helped, just keep me posted"
Landlord: "We Will"He sighed and put the phone down as Olivia shot him a curious glare, "everything okay?" She smiled. Jay nodded, "yeah, just a bit of complication with my apartment complex" he shrugged. Olivia frowned, "god, what happened?" She tilted her head. Jay nodded, "the floor above mines had some kind of damp thing but they didn't know so all of the apartments on my floor have been damaged by it, we've all been kicked out for a week or two" he shrugged. Olivia widened her eyes, "what the hell? Have you got a place to stay?" She sat up. Jay paused, "not yet but I'll find something, I have my truck..." he started but Olivia's laughter cut him off, "your truck? You cannot live in your truck for two weeks jay. You can stay at my place" she shook her head.
Jay sighed, "I'm not intruding your space..." he started but once again she cut him off, "jay, I have nothing for you to intrude. I have two spare rooms and the whole house to myself" she shrugged. Jay raised his eyebrows, "I can't liv" he shook his head but kept his eyes on her. Olivia laughed a little, "you can and you will. I'm not letting you sleep in your truck jay, you're staying at my place for as long as you need. End of debate" she shrugged and stood up to walk into the break room. Jay stood up and followed her, "are you sure? I mean, I can always ask will..." he tilted his head as she poured them both a coffee. Olivia smiled, "I'm positive, as long as you don't mind a 5 year old and a 16 year old living there for a week then you're more than welcome" she laughed and handed him his mug.
Jay raised his eyebrows, "you're siblings are coming over?" He smiled, Olivia smiled back, "mmhmm, they're schools on break so they can finally come over. It'll be fun, besides, you'll get to meet them" she shrugged and walked back out to the bullpen as jay followed suit. Jay smiled, "alright alright, fine" he laughed a little. Olivia nodded, "good, we'll sort it out later" she smiled and sat down as hank walked into the bullpen to announce the case. Jay smiled and nodded, "I really appreciate it" he whispered as hank cleared the board. Olivia smiled, "don't worry about it, a little company won't harm anyone" she shrugged and took a sip of coffee. Jay just smiled, god this woman is a miracle...
Later that day, jay walked into the locker room and found Olivia packing up to go home since it was the end of shift, "you sure I'm not gonna be in your way?" He sat down in the bench. Olivia laughed, "stop stressing, it'll be fun" she turned around and tapped his cheek lightly before putting her bag over her shoulder. Jay laughed a little, "do you have your stuff with you?" She added. Jay nodded, "yeah it's in the back of my truck" he sighed. Olivia smiled, "let's go then" she began walking out of the locker room leaving him to follow. They made their way out to their own cars and drove individually to Olivia's house where they met each other again. They made their way inside as Olivia switched the main lights on, "I'm assuming you don't wanna be falling down the attic stairs every morning so you can take the room next to mine" she laughed a little. Jay smiled, "what about your siblings? Won't they want a room each? I can take the couch..." he opposed.
Olivia shook her head, "Taylor can take the top room and Danny'll sleep in my bed, he's fussy" she laughed a little. Jay nodded, "typical" he laughed too. Olivia nodded with a smile and helped him take his stuff upstairs before they made their way back downstairs again, it's not like she needed to show him around the place since he knew the insides of her home like his own apartment, just like she did with his apartment. They sat down on the couch, "when are they coming?" He smiled. Olivia smiled back, "I need to pick them up at the airport tomorrow at 5" she yawned. Jay nodded, "sounds good" he smiled. Olivia nodded, "wait until taylors loud mouth starts talking the house down" she laughed. Jay laughed too, "she can't be that bad" he nodded. Olivia raised an eyebrow, "don't kid yourself, all Scottish people are loud, she just somehow managed to become even louder" she laughed which made him laugh too.
