Lanying teleported to the edge of the camp and called Jialong using her dragonlight. He took only a few minutes to return from the mountains. His beautiful body situating itself before her and bowing promptly. She was taken aback. This proud dragon never showed her such courtesy before. The god of war arrived at her side.
"Welcome, goddess of war, Pengdaxia, Lanying. This humble heavenly beast greets you." Jialong smiled brightly at the young goddess. "Congratulations, my dear. It is well deserved."
"How did you know?" she was surprised that news of her godhood endowment already reached the mountains.
"Your endowment could be heard all over the Abyss, and I'm sure in the Heavenly Palace as well. You are now known to all, dragonlight child." Jialong informed her.
"Thank you, Jialong. I have news. I requested a reprieve for all heavenly beasts who participate in the battle. Tiandi has granted it. You will no longer be labeled a criminal and all heavenly beasts who wish to remain in the Abyss have that option. Regardless, you will no longer be considered condemned." She was so excited she couldn't help but jump up and down a few times as she spoke.
"Thank you, goddess. The heavenly beasts of the Abyss will not forget this kindness. What is it you require, child?" asked the dragon.
"We need your help flying two gods over the mountain to the Demon Gate. I will fly myself and the god of war on Xiang Yi, and I will need you to fly the god of fire and the Moon Goddess. Is this possible?" At this moment, her wrist tattoo wriggled and Xiaojun appeared, flummoxed.
As her Rider, Xiaojun was granted the ability to speak in many different languages and dialects. He roared at Lanying in human speech, "Pengdaxia, I disagree with this plan. The last time you crossed the mountain with the god of war you almost didn't leave there. You nearly died when you transferred that man's wounds to your own body. What will we do if you choose to be that reckless again?"
The god of war was startled by the Pengxie's words, "My wounds? What wounds?"
"The horn-sized crater the Dragon Fiend left in your back! You would have died on that mountain pass if it weren't for my Pengdaxia!" bellowed Xiaojun.
Lanying was annoyed, "Xiaojun, shut your mouth, now!"
"No, if it were not for Longma and the Sacred Healing Tree, even four months would not have been enough to heal you!! You were reckless, Pengdaxia!"
"Four months?!? Lanying, what did you do?!?" demanded the god of war.
"I got you off that damn mountain!!" she was angry now. Her decision was not reckless, only necessary. She forced Xiaojun back into Shenmi. "Had I not used a transfer pill, you would not have been able to inform Tiandi and Teacher. That was the priority. And I'm alive, aren't I? No harm, no foul. We will not discuss this again." She warned the men around her.
"Oh, we will most definitely discuss this again. But, you're right, sometimes we must prioritize." The god of war turned to Jialong. "Are you able to assist?"
Jialong was amused by the bickering, "Yes, I should not only be able to get you up and over the mountain but past the Dragon Fiends quickly and without fear of discovery. I am a water dragon blessed by the heavens, they would not dare attack me. I can also camouflage myself and the two gods. But I cannot extend that to the three of you."
"I can take care of our camouflage, you need not worry, water dragon." The god of war informed him. "It will be our honor to fly alongside you, Jialong."
