Yueshen and Zhurong wanted to see Mingzhu off at the checkpoint to the Abyss.  But Supreme Deity was completely against the idea.  It would already cause a scene with a supreme god being there, much less the Moon Goddess and the god of fire!  Mingzhu would become the most talked-about immortal in the Nine Heavens and Four Seas!  Absolutely not!  Her friend and her Shige (senior brother) would have to stay in Palace Hall.  Supreme Deity was correct in his thinking, it would garner too much attention.  She said goodbye to her mentors and set off with her Teacher.  Flying through the clouds gave her a sense of freedom she only felt in her dreams, it was amazing.  The puffy, white wisps of clouds breezed steadily along as the two immortals rush past.  It took less than half an hour to arrive at the Abyss.  She wasn't able to see any other scenery beside the clouds on her way, which was disappointing.  Supreme Deity refused to travel below the cloud coverage.

The heavenly soldiers manning the checkpoint dropped to their knees when Teacher came into view.  All fifty soldiers seemed quite nervous to be in the presence of a supreme god.  Mingzhu waved at the soldiers but no one paid her the slightest bit of attention.  Suddenly, the air beside her began to ripple, and to her left there stood Tiandi.   The soldiers dropped even further, situating themselves into a kowtowing position.  She gave Tiandi a dirty look.  He'd gone for the shock and awe reaction on purpose.  They'd met before now, and she wasn't impressed.  Even less so now.  He was the ruler of all of the heavens.  The soldiers were glancing at her strangely as she wasn't kneeling, but she paid them no mind.  She put her hands on her hips and turned towards Tiandi.

"Your Majesty," she said through gritted teeth, "do you think there's a possibility that you'll let these poor soldiers get off the ground now?"

"Nope, not yet.  We must have a little discussion with them, dear.  Oooh, I like the armor, moonlight, right?  Yueshen must've spent quite a bit of time and effort on this piece.  Great, your first set of heavenly armor!!"  Tiandi was almost jumping in place.  He turned into a young man again when he encountered this feisty little immortal.

"Your Majesty!  The soldiers!" she said again.

"Oh, yes, right.  You may take a knee.  Okay, alright, Supreme Deity, how do you want to do this, godoath?  Omerta Oath?"

"Omerta Oath sounds good, it's still bound by flesh and blood like the godoath."

"Okay, soldiers.  What you see and hear today will be bound in silence by an Omerta Oath.  That is an oath of complete silence for those of you who do not understand.  You will cut your hand with your dagger and swear an Omerta Oath to Tiandi and Supreme Deity, dripping your blood to the earth.  Do you understand?  This means if you break that oath you are punished with death.  You will pay with your life.  In other words, tell no one what you've seen today.  You may now take your oath."

Tiandi and Supreme Deity watched the soldiers carefully as they took their oaths and cut their hands to seal the oath.  Then Supreme Deity moved so fast that she was terrified for a few seconds.  He jerked a soldier up by his neck and checked his hands, no cuts.  Teacher threw the man at Tiandi's feet.  The Emperor of the heavens kicked the soldier into a sitting position and squatted in front of him, menacingly.  He took the man's dagger and studied it carefully.  Tiandi placed it against the soldier's neck.

"Would you like to take the oath and make the cut yourself, or would you like me to make the cut for you?"  He ran the dagger lightly across the man's jugular, leaving a small bleeding line behind.

"Your Majesty, please.  No one cares if one little girl is being sent into the Abyss," the soldier pleaded.

Tiandi pushed the dagger deeper into the man's neck.  "Your cut or mine?  But I can guarantee you won't survive mine."  This Emperor reminded Mingzhu of the 4th Prince, scary.
