What has Wooyoung done in the past to hear more than once those harsh words? What made Hongjoong use those types of words to his own friends?

Seonghwa sighed before heading back to class. Being in the deposit and hearing the teacher's scolding made them lose all the hour and a half of Art class and now he'd have to spend the rest of the day alone, well, not completely alone. He had one last class with Siyeon while he only wished he could understand what just happened a few minutes ago.

He heard from San that Hongjoong only took the five boys to his house, saying that San had to wait outside the house so he could take Jongho back home with him. So he couldn't refuse when the boy offered to go with him, saying goodbye earlier than usual to his girlfriend.
However, when San sat in the front yard, he wasn't convinced to let things stay that way. He was done with this and a bit of his worry for Wooyoung became a motivation to call at the door with the house ring a few times just to make sure Hongjoong wouldn't ignore it.

--San, I'm not fini-...What are you doing here?

--I told him it wasn't allowed--San tried to defend himself in any case of being accused.

--Leave them for now, I need to talk to you--Seonghwa spoke.

--I'm busy right now, you can call la-...

--I won't call you, I need to talk to you at this exact moment, or else I'll take them with me and never look back at you.

Hongjoong knew Seonghwa would never, the older wouldn't even dare to imagine that. Nevertheless, a cold goosebump made its way into the brown-haired's spine, which made him almost whisper a small "Hold on" before closing the door. Leaving Seonghwa holding his breath while San's curious eyes wandered around, incapable of finding a way to express his surprise.

--Hyung, I have no idea what are you up to but, you'll need a whole to of explanation after this

--Wrong, all of you will need a good explanation after I solve this, trust me you're not free from any kind of problem--Glanced over to the black-haired by his side, making him erase his proud smile and go back to his spot like a small punished kitten.

A few seconds later, Wooyoung, Yunho, Jongho, Yeosang and Mingi went out the door, not looking exactly like Seonghwa would've imagined after hearing what Hongjoong could perhaps tell them, but fortunately, Wooyoung didn't seem to be really affected, or that's what he looked like on the outside.

--Alright, I'll see you guys tomorrow, same time and place--Hongjoong said before glancing at the older one and closing the door behind them when the six boys left.

--Why you'd do that to them?--Seonghwa asked after a few seconds passed.

--Do what? Talk to them and ask what the hell went through their minds?

--No! Tell them you're disappointed!

--...Wait...what? No!

--Mingi told me you said that every time you want them to go to your room!

--It was only one time! He literally insulted me for a whole weekend thinking it was just a joke and then tried to steal my food!

--And what about Wooyoung's reaction after being called to your most times? or Jongho being afraid of hearing those words too?

--Wooyoung? He may be a really big brat but I'd never say that to him, I only talk to him in a really serious manner when he's crossing a limit, I did tell him it was his last chance to prove he could control himself a bit but never threatened him to harm him or anything--Now was Hongjoong the one confused and scared.--The reason he has been coming to my room is that I know he needs a lot of reassuring and those were the only times we could talk properly--Seonghwa seemed to get a lot more relaxed than before--And about Jongho, he was by Mingi's side when I told him that, but then I apologized and we managed to talk things out

--So, everyone has been "called to your room"?

--Yeah, it's not only to scold them or make them afraid, it's for us to understand why is someone behaving one way that it's not always correct, I can be a bit harsh with my words but I'd never try to make them feel hurt on purpose

--Oh...I-I didn't know, they really are like young kids with you--Seonghwa smiled sadly.

--Well, maybe I didn't call you yet but, you're already here so...--The boy understood--...we should talk about what is going on then.--Hongjoong seemed a bit nervous with every word.

--I guess, without someone spying on us or with fear that a teacher will likely open the door and find us in the middle of the dark--Hongjoong laughed quietly and nodded, guiding the other to his room before both of them sit on the bed.

--Ok, so...what is happening, hmm? Why you want me to do all the work when you don't help me too?

--It's not that I want you to do all the work, I just don't know how to it and I hoped that maybe you leading me would make things clearer...but I guess that made things worse

--Seonghwa-...

--Hongjoong, I like you, I like you more than I could ever imagine--He finally confessed, with his eyes closed, as if it was only for himself, as if any reaction would be negative. But a hand on his right hand over his leg made him open them slowly.

--I like you too, more than I could believe coming from me...--The boy's eyes shined in hopefulness but the next word brought him back to earth after starting flying to cloud 9 less than a few seconds ago.--But I don't want you to choose between Siyeon and me if it's difficult, I don't want to be an option, not like this...

--What if I already made my decision?

--Well, that's pretty unexpected, but are you really sure? I mean, if it's difficult, I'd rather you go after her instead of me

Seonghwa couldn't answer, he needed to reply to that with actions, so he practically threw Hongjoong on the bed and shyly kissed him to make up for all the times he couldn't kiss the boys he liked before finding his true identity, to make up for all the moments his heart was broken after denying his true feelings.

--San, please leave me alone--Wooyoung sighed, sitting in front of the garden of his house and reproducing every single scenario that happened that day.

After they left Hongjoong's house, Wooyoung said goodbye to everyone, yet San stayed by his side as the afternoon fell.

-- Even Yeosang understands that I want to be alone. What do you need?

-- I don't want to pressure you to tell me what's going on, however, you must know that it leaves me...confused...to see you like this

-- I know, I'm usually the clingy one of the group--he rolled his eyes.

-- No, not exactly that...listen...Despite knowing you for years, there are things I just can't understand about you, although sometimes I'd rather just put them aside and let time teach me about you, I know this is not something I can just put aside, at least not for now

--...There's nothing to say, I'm just tired

San sighed, getting up from his seat.

--Sannie...

--Hmm?-- The older looked back as he held the backpack on his back more tightly with one hand.--You didn't give me my farewell kiss--Wooyoung's soft voice along with his adorable pouting expression was enough for San to smile and return to his boyfriend, admiring his eyes shining in the dim light of the afternoon sun slowly hiding. However, the younger boy knew those eyes shone for one and only one reason, San.

Wooyoung knew that he can be tiring and difficult to deal with at times, but the patience that the seven guys gave him was out of this world, not only that, but he appreciated it more than anyone else. He loved his best friend for being with him for so many years, but the boy in front of him could easily take care of his future from now on.--Wooyoung thought.
