As he finished moving some of the boxes around the stalls, he expected to also see Mingi like every time these types of fairs happened, however, the younger only sent a text saying he wouldn't make it today. Hongjoong didn't mind though, he was about to reply to the text with maybe some sad emoji, but a familiar voice got him turning around.
"Joong-ah'' Hongjoong would never get used to the way that nickname sounded coming from the taller boy.
His whole attention shifted towards Seonghwa the moment he heard him. However, he assumed his confused expression was quite noticeable because, once the older got closer, he giggled and started explaining how he got there.

"I was talking to my mom about what you mentioned about the fair your mom was organizing, you said I'd be today'' Hongjoong slightly raised his eyebrow.

At the time he mentioned it, the group didn't know about Siyeon yet, so of course he was quite confused at the fact Seonghwa listened to him when he remembers the taller was completely lost in his head with the girl passing by.

"A-Am I too early?'' Seonghwa slightly raised his eyebrow, worried about the fair not being ready yet. "My mom is still walking round, I came here in case I could find yo-...''

Hongjoong could only giggle at Seonghwa trying to explain himself and looking cute when asking too many questions at once, even if he didn't quite hear what the opposite said at the end.

"No need to worry, so far we have been organizing some of the stalls, and we have a mass before the sales start'' The now blonde boy shrugged as he looked around.

"Oh...well, I am a little too early'' They both giggled, almost leaning into each other when letting their soft laugh out. "Oop, apparently my mom found yours'' He signaled with his head to the two older women exchanging some words in between smiled.

"Hong-ie'' Mr. Kim called from a decent distance. "Hurry so you can grab seats'' Hongjoong was about to nod and ask Seonghwa to go sit with him until an idea crossed his mind that made him come up with a quick answer.

"We'll be going in a minute, I want to show Seonghwa the yard, you can go ahead, Mom'' He said back, and apparently Mr. Kim didn't have an issue as she looked at Mrs. Park and they both nodded before heading inside with no other further ado.

"That was a miracle for them not to mind, I gotta admit'' Seonghwa frowned slightly as he said once Hongjoong's head turned back to him. "She must trust you a lot...Hong-ie''

The blonde hair only did what he would do every time the taller teased him and rolled his eyes. Although, he would never be able to control the blush the now black-haired caused due to the sudden nicknames.

"Hwa-yah...don't you have other nicknames?'' The black haired giggled, shaking his head.

"I do, but they will not be revealed to you yet'' He shrugged, now both walking towards wherever Hongjoong was taking them.

"Oh, come on! You have many nicknames for me, I only have Hwa'' Hongjoong fake complaint.

Seonghwa laughed, that laugh that would make him squint his eyes and show his now perfect teeth.

Hongjoong always focused on that smile the same way Seonghwa always focused on Hongjoong's laugh when he would do something silly.

"I really don't have more!'' He tried to talk back, both lowering their voices as people entered the church, while the two boys passed by some trees a little more hidden surrounding the outside of the parish. "If you notice one or create one you can call me that'' He shrugged, an attitude of not caring whatever Hongjoong's nickname could be for him.

They sat under a tree in order to get some shade and protection from the sun of the early noon. Almost whispering in fear of being heard by someone, but audibly enough to keep the other smiling and without an end to their conversation.
