Howl

I spluttered and put the bottle on the ground. "What now ?!?" I asked bewildered.

If you think that I was overreacting then, please !! I wasn't used to people taking me to big groves and then telling me that I was a fictional or mythical creature. Tasha however was calm and repeated, "You're a werewolf."

"You g-got-" She cut in between this time a little impatient, "Jacob you gotta believe or you are gonna die anyway." I was too stunned to speak. Her eyes looked too matured (for the first time since I have met her). And believe me, I am not in these fantasy thingies but yet I have somehow believed her and had a feeling that we are going to be together for a while longer than anticipated.

She took a deep breath and muttered something under her breath, knowing her she must have cussed.

She continued "Listen, this may sound crazy but as there is this planet Earth there is another planet engaged side by side with it." I gaped at her. I was hoping she would suddenly start laughing and say that this was nothing but a prank but she continued "This planet is Howl. It is a planet of werewolves." Honestly, she was making herself look like a loon. But I had a feeling that our fates were now intertwined and I wouldn't be safe without her so I nodded. "Any questions ??" he asked me.

"So I am a werewolf and werewolves drink blood that means........." It was too disgusting to think about.

She rolled her eyes as if here we go again and started to explain, "Older werewolves may have done it but now the werewolf civilization is ah...civilized although some werewolves do live up to it. Her tone was sad as if she had a history with those types of monsters. No, I couldn't say them monsters because I was one of them too.

She started again, "Anyways Howl is just like Earth but a bit clean, I had a problem breathing for two days here but that doesn't matter. As I was saying the land is divided into two continents as one might say. They are Angaraland and Gondwanaland," I perked up at the idea of geography. She continued "The Gondwanaland is ruled by Lady Duciana who sent and well... the other one is the problem, Amoux Spikes he badly wants because of some reasons I don't know and wasn't told about. He sort of a cold-blooded person and a brutal fighter. He is trying to take control over the whole Howl.

"But I don't understand it if I am a werewolf, then how come I am living on planet Earth whole my life ??"

She nodded, "We also must keep Earth safe and that's why many werewolves are living here in disguise trying to keep the chaos at bay, sometimes they meet some humans who they seem to trust with their life and they..." She interlocked her fingers together and I nodded.

"Anyways, I must bring you back to Howl safely as per her orders because you seem to be very important to Amouz Spikes and if you don't go to him, he will make sure that you go to heavens." She said it as casually. I wrung my hands "But those two people who are after me seemed to be more skilled than you so how come we have a chance to fight them if all we can do is turn into a wolf ??"

She grinned wolfishly which was quite easy for her and nodded "We are sure to get knocked in close combat but we have other powers too. Remember when I almost burned your face ??"

I nodded, it wasn't quite easy to forget. "Well," Tasha continued "We specialize in elements like sound, water, fire and blah blah. You may have one or many."

"Well where is Howl ??" I asked.

"There are many station which lead us from Earth to Howl and Howl to Earth. And I will take you to the one nearest to me."

The tree chose that moment to split into two, Tasha shouted a completely unhelpful warning "Look out !!"

We both stumbled out just in time or I would have gotten a prepared graveyard. It was all misty, very unlike the weather, it should be at noon. From the mist, two people strutted towards us, Tasha stood in a battling stance whereas I just stood there blinking my eyes.

It would have been appropriate of them to introduce themselves first but one of them rasped "Give us the pain heir" I rolled my eyes as if I hadn't heard those kinds of jokes enough for one lifetime. I glanced at Tasha but she was awestruck and her face showed disbelief. "You don't ....." they didn't let him finish her sentence as one of them punched her in the gut and she knocked out, "I will have her blood." he rasped while the other one still stared at me and nodded ever so slightly as the other man bent over her.

"W-what are y-you ?? S--stay a-away from h-her" I managed to stutter. Those two stared at each other and then started laughing uncontrollably. "W-what's s-so funny ??" The other one moved with blinding speed and slapped me hard. Ya, I know that sounds funny but it isn't. Spots appeared in front of my eyes as the man bent over her, his face only an inch away. Something rose in my stomach, I hoped it wasn't the milk I had in the morning and screamed in rage. The Earth below me went crazy and rumbled, trapping the two in Earth. Their first look was of disbelief then it changed to a smirk and before could kick them, POOF !! they disappeared. I guess we will be safe for a while as one can be when near a forest.

"Tasha !!" I screamed as I stumbled towards her and knelt beside her. I checked her pulse, it was normal. Her heartbeat was also normal. I held her in a bridal style and style and stood up, all along the periphery of my vision, I could see crevices at irregular intervals. I walked and walked till I reached the outskirts of the Tongass forest and fell upon something. I looked at it and saw a big root which was attached to the biggest tree as far as I had seen. I leaned her at the trunk of the tree and checked her pockets. My hand felt the contours of a credit card and fished it out of her pocket. It seemed to be folded, Holy hell, it was a phone. I opened it and it seemed to be asking for her face id so I opened it. What I just saw was I guess my fault and that I shouldn't have opened her phone. there was a boy about my age and who was kissing Tasha. She seemed too content with it I almost lost it, but I somehow composed myself and tried to find contacts. It took me fifteen minutes just to figure out where were her contacts. What's the use of a phone if it takes you FIFTEEN damn minutes to find contacts. Finally, I found one with the label 'big sis' and clicked on it. The ring started. Even before the first ring had been finished by a very concerned voice "Hey Tasha, you alright ??"

"Umm Hi," I answered back. Ya, I know not a very smart reply but hey! I didn't know what to say.

Her voice took a sharper edge "Who are you ?"

"Hey! no need to get serious, I am her friend Jacob." I complained.

She let out a relieved sigh and asked "What happened ??"

I explained to her about those two men, they call me pain, and Tasha looking shocked, she too let out a gasp when she heard Pain but I let it go, I also explained how I made them disappear but she didn't sound happy about it at all. She asked, "Where are you now ??"

"We are at the trunk of an unnaturally big tree at the outskirts of the Tongass Forest in Alaska." I replied back.

She said, "Okayy, touch the trunk with your left hand say it out loud 'Long live the Howl' and you will be teleported right here."

"Okay Byeee." and I shut the phone off and kept it back in her pocket carefully. I once again held her in bridal style and touched the trunk with my right hand and shouted "Long live the Howl !!" My stomach somersaulted There was mist all over. I suddenly started feeling cold and saw two men approaching me. "Help." I croaked and fainted with dizziness.
