Chapter 5 - Home

Tanjiro woke up in his bed. He sat up and yawned, stretching a bit before getting up and getting dressed. He walker over to the bed besides his.

"Hey, Nezuko, wake up!" Tanjiro exclaimed, shaking her violently.

"I'm up.." She mumbled.

"TANJIRO KAMADO GET BACK HERE!" Nezuko yelled, chasing after Tanjiro as he ran around the mansion, reaching a big room. He ran in laughing, he already knew the others were there eating. He ran around the table and hid behind Tomioka's back.

"TANJIRO KAMADO YOU COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" Nezuko yelled as she ran into the room. She walked over to Tomioka and grabbed Tanjiro by the neck.

"Ow Nezuko stop!" Tanjiro whined.

"You used your god damn blood demon art on me! Agian!" Nezuko yelled as she slapped him in the face. Tanjiro turned around in the air when she threw him up and managed to avoid her kick. Tanjiro landed perfectly on the ground.

"Please, I don't want to reveal my blood demon art."

"Ugh, Fine." Nezuko sighed and calmed down, returning to her human form.

"I'm hungryyy" Tanjiro whined, sitting down on the floor. Nezuko tilted her head at the demon slayers watching in amazement, quietly asking for permission.

"You eat humans, so no." Tomioka replied to Nezuko.

"Don't you have any dead bodies or something?"

"No, not now."

"Can we go out atleast? To that place agian?" Tanjiro sounded excited at the thought of going out. Tomioka sighed and stood up, walking over toTanjiro.

"Okay, come on." Tomioka turned his head and nodded slightly to Shinobu, signaling they'll be gone for a long time.

"Thank youu! It was really pretty there!" Tanjiro stood up quickly, as did Nezuko. Tanjiro waved and started running away.

"Hey!" Tomioka yelled and chased after him. Nezuko also ran after them. When Tanjiro reached the outside he took Tomioka's hand, letting Tomioka guide him.

"It's still so pretty.." Tanjiro whispered with stars In his eyes, still holding Tomioka's hand.

"Yeah, It's really beautiful.." Nezuko had reacted exactly like Tanjiro did. Tanjiro sat down, dragging Tomioka down with him. Tomioka chuckled as Tanjiro leaned onto him. Nezuko had to cover her mouth to keep her from squealing. Nezuko also saw that Tomioka smiled sligthly, making her surprised.

"Cuteeee."

"Shush, I'm enjoying nature."

Tanjiro sighed happily.

"Hey, are you two coming back inside?" Nezuko asked as she stood up.

"Yeah." Tanjiro and Tomioka stood up. Then Tanjiro felt the upper moons scent coming closer and closer under seconds. He pushes Tomioka down, protecting him from an attack from behind. Then he seperated himself from Tomioka and gave him a sad smile, then he fell right into a portal.

"Welcome back, Tanjiro." Muzan says, staring Tanjiro in the eyes.

"It is good to be back." Tanjiro bowed quickly. Muzan grabbed Tanjiro's hands, making him look up.

"I told you to call me father and not to be so formal." Muzan smiled at the boy before him. Tanjiro nodded and smiled.

"May I and Nezuko go out and hunt? We haven't eaten in a while." Tanjiro asked. Muzan nodded. Tanjiro grabbed Nezuko's hand and ran out.

"Let's go to that village again!" Tanjiro exclaimed. Nezuko took the lead and they reached the village. Tanjiro smelled a human and walked it's way.

"Can I help?" The Lady asked as he reached her.

"Yes, actually." Tanjiro attacked her, giving her no time to react at all. He devoured her immideatly, then he met up with Nezuko in the village.

"Let's go back." Tanjiro and Nezuko returned to the Infinity castle and went to their rooms. They fell asleep almost immideatly.

"Shinobu!" Tomioka yelled, effectively finding her.

"What? Where is Tanjiro and Nezuko?"

"They got taken back by the upper moons!"

"And you didn't stop them?"

"Am I supposed to be able to defeat 6 demons?"

"This is why no one likes you."

"People do-"

"-Like me. Anything but that, please."

"Tch. Should we notify the master?"

"Send a letter to him." Tomioka nodded and walked away to his room. He sat down and started writing.

"Dear master, Our two demons Nezuko and Tanjiro has been taken back by the upper moons. They seem to be special to Muzan Kibutsuji if he sent the upper moons. I am not capable if returning him to me alone, but I might be capable of capturing him again. They will probably hunt in the same village as before, so we can easily capture them. I only need your permission, master.
-Tomioka Giyuu"

《 Good enough, I think. I hope I'll be able to see Tanjiro agian.. His cute smile, always making my day.. Just seeing him gives me butterflies.. Wait no, what am I thinking?! I can't like a demon! Control yourself, Tomioka! 》 Tomioka sighed and sent his letter away with his bird.
