After about a 10 minute walk, the three of them finally reached the school. Xiao gazed up in awe as the school was quite big.

"Aight then, bye bye Xiao!!" Hu Tao cheerfully waved at him but Xiao quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back right as she was skipping off

"Owie!! What was that for?!"

"Did you forget that I'm new...?"

"Oh... right... hehe"

She stuck out her tongue slightly but Xiao just rolled his eyes.

"You're so annoying"

Hu Tao opened her mouth to respond but she was interrupted by a voice that sounded even more annoying to Xiao.

Just perfect Xiao thought as he looked behind to witness Hu Tao get jumped on by a younger looking male

"Heya!! You must be Xiao!!!"

This boy is unbearably loud... I hope he's not my guide for today

The boy stopped clinging onto Hu Tao and placed his hand on his hips. Despite Xiao being weirded out by this strange boy, Xiao just had to take this chance to get a clearer look at him.

The boy had long-ish hair. It was messily tied into two braids that faded into a pretty blueish green. His eyes were the same colour as the tips of his hair and his dumb smile was bright and cheery. His uniform was ruffled and I suppose you could say he's an organised mess.

"Hi!! My name is Venti and I'll be your guide for today!!!"

The way he spoke pissed Xiao off

I wanna punch this kid's face off... I've just met him but I wanna kill him...

"Alright, I have different classes so I'll leave you to Venti." Hu Tao hugged Xiao and smiled "You'll love it here, Venti will make sure of it"

She ran off and a few moments later, the bell rang signalling that home room is starting.

"So you're Xiao?"

Venti tried to walk beside Xiao but he refused and started walking at a faster pace

"Come on! I just wanna get to know you!!"

Venti let out a little bit of a whine before sighing and opening the door for Xiao

"Come back here- Xiao, the staircase is here"

Both boys started making their way up the stairs

"Home room started a few minutes ago, I'll bring you around the school for today" Venti explained as he opened the door to the 2nd floor, "The head of year told me to meet in his office to pick up your schedule."

Xiao just hummed in response and Venti knock on a door they stopped in front of

"Mr Varka?"

He cautiously opened the door to reveal the head of year sitting at his desk

"Ah... Venti you're here..." he stood up and smiled "and I suppose this is Hu Tao's friend, Xiao?"

Xiao quietly nodded and crossed his arms in boredom. Varka rummaged through a pile of papers and pulled out a checklist and three copies of Xiao's schedule.

"Venti, keep hold of this checklist. It has everything Xiao need to go and get as well as everything he need to know"

Handing the checklist over to Venti, the head of year turned to Xiao handing him the schedules.

"Here's your schedule, spare copies are always useful and oh right!!" He went back to his table and grabbed another piece of paper. "Here's a map of the school incase you forget where classrooms and utilities are"

As Xiao was absorbing the information, Venti got a run down of the day from Varka. After that was finished, home room had ended.

"So I bring you to the book store to pick up your textbooks and workbooks... uh... the IT Center to fix your computer.... hmm what else did Mr Varka say...?"

"Ugh just bring me around and I'll deal with the rest myself."

Xiao made it painfully obvious that he didn't want to talk to Venti anymore but he ignored it and started leading Xiao around.

"Sooooo how was the tourrrrr??"

Xiao had his forehead on the table and he groaned in response to Hu Tao's question

"I'll take that as a don't bother me now I'm fed up with life"

Hu Tao laughed and Xiao sat up just to glare at her

"I hate you"

"I know you do~"

Xiao slumped back down to have his head on the table again while Hu Tao kept eating her snacks. After a few minutes of silence Hu Tao spoke again

"Hey, what's your schedule for today?"

"I don't really care..."

"Come on! Just give me your schedule!!"

"Urghhh fineee"

Xiao got the folded up, crumpled schedule from his pocket and threw it at his friend. She opened it up then frowned

"Why'd you choose music out of all things? I thought you hated music?"

Hu Tao had a confused yet curious face, it was obvious her curiosity wasn't far from bursting through her flood gates but she held it back. Xiao sighed and took back the paper he threw at Hu Tao.

"Just... leave me alone... I'm tired of this"

Xiao groaned and Hu Tao puffed in annoyance

"Well you can't keep working throughout your whole life, learn to do something fun!!"

Xiao sighed and sat up again. He looked at Hu Tao's cheerful smile and her fiery red eyes full of energy. Xiao chuckled and took a deep breath.

"I choose Music because I wanted to relearn how to play that flute I've had just collecting dust... I hoped that maybe... it could help me release some stress..."

Hu Tao shifted closer to Xiao and gave him a hug full of empathy, Xiao quickly hugged back and sighed as the bell rang

"I have P.E. now, you?"

"I've got Business studies, gotta train up for being the next director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour!!"

She gave a cheeky smile and a small wink before cleaning up her mess and waved goodbye to Xiao

"Have fun with P.E.!! I'll meet you at lunch break alright? Take care Xiao"

Hu Tao gave him a head pat before running up the stairs leaving Xiao to head to the gym on his own. Or at least... that's what he thinks...

"Hey Xiao!!"

A familiar annoying voice perked up and Xiao turned around to glare at the little boy who screamed out his name

"What do you want Venti."

"I've been tasked to follow you around today, so that's what I'll do!!"

It's just another nightmare after another isn't it...
