Opening his eyes, Xiao found himself laying on a bed in a brightly lit room. there were bandages wrapping around his arms and legs as well as his chest. Looking to the side, he saw Venti silently sleeping with his mouth slightly open.

Hmm, he must have brought me here and then fell asleep...

He tried to sit up but quickly fell back because everything started hurting.

"You shouldn't move!"

An optimistic voice spoke up but Xiao couldn't see who said it

"I will go get Dr. Baizhu"

He heard the door opening and closing. He sighed and looking at Venti's peaceful sleeping face, Xiao took note that Venti was very pretty. He looked tired so Xiao decided not to bother him. Anyways, if he did wake up, Venti would probably start annoying the shit outta Xiao. The door opened and he saw a tall and skinny male with long green hair enter the room. A dendro vision hung from his belt and he walked in to stand beside the bed. There was a blonde girl with grey-ish blue eyes next to him.

"Hello Xiao! I see that you're awake now. I am Dr. Baizhu, the doctor at this school. This is my student assistant Barbara"

"Hello!!"

Her cheerful voice somehow healed a little bit of Xiao's mental state and Xiao gave them a tiny nod. Barbara started using her water spells to heal some of Xiao's deeper wounds

"My goodness... how long have you been going any medical help...?"

Barbara looked shocked at the amount of scars he had all over his body. Xiao sighed and looked away from her

"You don't have to heal everything... just... make sure I'm able to go home"

He tried to not make his voice seem somewhat friendly but he couldn't hide to fact that he just wanted to make sure Hu Tao, Zhongli and Qiqi they're okay. Barbara quickly finished the healing and Baizhu rewrapped a few of the bandages.

"Alright Xiao, I'll leave you to wake Venti up. After Barbara's healing nothing should hurt too badly"

Baizhu left with Barbara and Xiao slowly sat up. Looking at Venti, he reached over to shake him awake but he was interrupted by Hu Tao skipping in.

"I wouldn't wake him up if I were you, he stayed awake all night and only fell asleep at 9 this morning."

Hu Tao carefully hugged Xiao and then slapped the top of his head

"Ow!! The f*ck was that for???"

"You idiot!! Take care of yourself!!!"

The two started bickering like real siblings and then Zhongli came in with Qiqi in his arms

"Hush you two, Venti needs to sleep. He's been awake for three days straight"

Three days?!! What the hell was he thinking??!

"How long have I been knocked out for...?"

"About four days.... I think? It's Thursday now, Dr. Baizhu said you've lost a lot of blood so Venti watched you overnight"

Hu Tao crossed her arms as she recounted all the events that occurred the past few days. Qiqi crawled onto the bed and clung onto Xiao's back making him wince slightly.

"Big brother Xiao... be... careful... okay...?"

Her monotone voice was so distant yet so close. It was hard to understand what she felt whenever she said something. Xiao felt her small hands playing with his hair and he smiled.

Everyone that he counted as his family was here, the god that kept him sane for so many years cared enough to bring him all the way back to the school. He cared enough to stay awake and personally watch over him.

"I'll stay here until Venti wakes up, you should head to class Hu Tao. Go home Zhongli, Qiqi... don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

Zhongli nodded and smiled at Xiao before prying Qiqi off Xiao to let him rest

"I'll see you at home alright. Hu Tao, go to class you're already late."

"Hehe~"

She winked and Zhongli left with Qiqi, Hu Tao smiled at Xiao and placed his hand on her hips.

"Rest well, I'll come back during lunch to bring you and Venti some food. Hopefully he's rests well, he needs the sleep..."

She quickly waved and said goodbye, leaving Venti and Xiao alone. He leant back on the headrest of the bed and looked at his arms.

Has it really gotten this bad...? Bad enough that even Barbatos worries...?

Xiao was caught up in thoughts and then he heard a knock at the door. He quickly told the person to come in and he met yes with three girls.

The tallest of the three looked similar to Barbara but older. The purple haired girl put her hair into pointy buns making her look like a cat. The last girl had light blue hair, the horns she had on her head and her gentle smile immediately let Xiao know who she was.

"Ganyu? You come to this school?"

She nodded and looked at his bandages, quickly frowning. As a half adeptus, Ganyu and Xiao fought beside each other in the Archon war therefore they knew each other. Didn't talk much but they both helped each other countless times

"I see old habits die hard huh? You should really look after yourself more"

"Ganyu is right on that, but let me introduce myself. I am Jean, the student council president and this is the vice president, Keqing. Ganyu is the secretary and there are other students as well. The only other person you should take note of is Ningguang. She is the other president."

Xiao dipped his head in greeting as he really didn't want to talk anymore

"We were told to check up on you as well as Venti but it seems like neither of you can continue school for the rest of today."

"Since it's Thursday anyways, we'll see if we can let you off for Friday as well. You've both had things pretty rough."

After the three of them left, Xiao looked up at the clock and sighed. It was still a while until lunch so Hu Tao wasn't going to come by anytime soon. Xiao got off the bed and slowly started walking around to room. Eventually everything stopped hurting and he felt normal.

Sitting back onto the bed, Xiao got really bored and started staring at Venti. As he took note of earlier, even with his hella annoying personality. Xiao couldn't deny that he was very pretty.

"Stop staring at me, you're gonna make me shy~"

One of Venti's eyes opened as his mouth curved into a smile. Their faces were close, not very close but it was enough to make Xiao jump back.

"Hey, warn me the next time to plan to scare me. You're gonna kill me one day"

"Well then there's no fun in that now it there?~"

Ah well, here we go again...

Idk wut this chapter was but like I'm not good at writing about love hate relationships ^^'
