Hmph!~ A Xiaoven AU

After reaching the tent back at Windrise, Venti sat down and took out the flute. Xiao sat beside him and he rested his head on Venti's shoulder. Closing his eye, a few notes flowed into his ears and turned into a beautiful melody.

Venti eventually stopped playing and looked to see Xiao fast asleep. He always seemed to fall asleep when listening to Venti's music which he found adorable. Putting away the flute, Venti tried his best not to wake Xiao up while moving him into a more comfortable position but of course, he woke up.

"Hey I'm awake now... stop pushing me..."

His voice was still sleepy and he stared at Venti with half open eyes.  After a while of just staring, they both looked away from each other.  Venti lay down and Xiao followed, both of their faces really close. Both of them were very flustered but neither of them moved.

"You know our lips are about to touch right?"

"Yeah, so-"

Cutting him off mid sentence, Venti gave him a small peck then turned around to face his back to Xiao. Being a blushing mess, Xiao didn't want Venti to see him. He was actually pretty happy that Venti turned away.

"Good night Venti"

"Night Xiao!"

The little tent fell silent as the both drifted off to sleep

"XIAO I MISSED YOUUUU"

Hu Tao quickly pounced onto Xiao then slapped him softly.

"Hu Tao what the f*ck why do you always give mixed signals?!!"

"How would I know, I just wanted to see you"

It's now Sunday night and Xiao had just come back home right after finishing off dinner with Venti. Remembering the conversation they had while eating, Xiao recalled his words.

"So I've decided to not live with you for now..."

"Why not?"

"Well it's not that I don't trust you and your family, it's just that I feel like I shouldn't be such a burden to you all!"

And he said it with such a cheerful voice it worried Xiao a lot. But back to the present, Zhongli had come out of the kitchen to see what all the noise was about and was surprised to see Xiao.

"Oh you're back already? I wouldn't guessed you would want to stay with Venti for a little longer."

"N-no... I would've stayed but I wanted to come back and see you all..."

Qiqi came out of her room and tugged gently on Xiao's hand

"Big brother... you're... back"

"Hello Qiqi, how have you been?"

Crouching down, Xiao went down to Qiqi's level and gently pat her head. She hugged him and Xiao carried her up.

"We'll go to your room and change, then tell us all about your new boyfriend"

"Wha-"

Zhongli took Qiqi off Xiao and Hu Tao pushed Xiao to his room

"Come on now!! We wanna know how you and Venti are doing!!!"

Xiao blushed and quickly ran into his room, locking it. Thoughts of Venti were rushing through his head and his cheeks were on fire.

"Ah screw you Hu Tao!!"

Xiao quickly changed into his home clothes and went back outside after messing his hair up a little bit.

"So? How are you both doing?"

Xiao glared at Hu Tao and she only laughed. He sat on the couch and Qiqi crawled onto his lap.

"We've literally been dating for a day..."

"Oh? So you ARE dating"

"Yes..."

They both suddenly jumped up and Hu Tao had a little celebration. Xiao was confused but Qiqi didn't really care and curled up to fall asleep. Zhongli smiled proudly and gave Xiao a head pat.

"Good job Xiao, You've finally found someone"

"I knew Venti had a crush on you!! Being the last surviving yaksha and all... he was completely stuck in his own world when I talked about you!!"

Looking up at Hu Tao, Xiao had wondered how Venti knew so much about him. Turns out that she had been talking about him a few months before he actually joined the school.

He chuckled and looked at his 'family'. They sure were very happy to know that Xiao had someone else now. Truly a happy family

Basically it could be done now... butttt I wanna write some more Xiaoven stuffs sooo I'll just continue this next time ^^
Hopefully you're not getting bored of all the short chapters, I swear I'm trying my best but sometimes I just wanna write smth short and be done with it XD
