Hu Tao was dragging Xiao to school because they had both woken up late and home room was about to start in 5 minutes. Luckily the walk to school was only a few minutes away but they were both still late.

"Hu Tao, Xiao... you're late"

A stern voice stopped them both in their tracks and they turned to see a tall blonde student

"My apologies Ningguang, Xiao was still unwell yesterday and so he overslept"

Xiao elbowed Hu Tao's side and glared at her. He then turned to Ningguang and slightly bowed

"Sorry, we'll try not to be late again"

"It's alright, I heard from Jean that you had passed out for a few days... so you still aren't perfectly well. Just go take a seat and I'll explain your home room activities. Your teacher is absent today so I'll be here instead."

Hu Tao sat next to Xiangling and Xiao sat beside Venti at the back of the room

"Xiao! You're here!!"

Venti shout-whispered to Xiao and he smiled back at him.

"Yeah sorry, we both overslept"

"No worries, I was just catching up on stuff I missed"

There were worksheets and booklets spread out on the desk and Xiao picked one up. Venti's handwriting was delicate and neat, it was really pretty to look at. Reading some of the information on the paper, he deduced it was Music work so he kept reading.

"Alright so since it's Monday, your home room will consist of everyone getting up and talking to people you don't usually talk to. I'll randomly assign pairs and there's a list of questions on the board. After that, you'll be off to your first lesson, is that okay?"

Her instructions were very clear but Xiao didn't want to talk to anyone else other than Venti. One by one, Ningguang called out to pairs and it got to the last four classmates. Xiao, Sucrose, Albedo and Venti.

"Sucrose and Albedo, then finally Xiao and Venti. Alright you have ten minutes to answer five questions. You may start now"

Others shuffled around while Xiao and Venti just stared at each other

"Well... she has good intuition"

"Indeed she does"

Venti giggled and moved his chair closer to Xiao. Reading the questions on the board, it was all really stupid questions like 'Do you have siblings?' and 'What do you plan to do in the future'.

Venti nuzzled into Xiao's neck and he blushed really hard. Slightly nudging Venti away, he cleaned up the work that was on the table

"Is something wrong? Why'd you nudge me?"

"N-no it's not wrong... I quite enjoy it actually... it's just that we're in school and I'm shy..."

"Awwh~~ Shy Xiao!!!"

"Hmph! Shut up!!"

"Ehe!"

Putting everything away, the bell rang and signaled the start of the first lesson. Everyone in the class started talking and the volume in the classroom went straight up. Xiao helped Venti pick up his bag and put it on his back.

"What do you have first?"

"Oh uh.... I've got Music, you?"

"Same, come on let's go"

Both boys left the classroom last and they went to the Music classrooms. They went inside and quickly sat down since the teacher had already started.

"Alright so since you've already started working on a final composition last week, you should continue it today. Doing it in pairs should make things go faster and it's due in two weeks."

Everyone else quickly moved to an instrument and a computer leaving Xiao and Venti both confused. The teacher realised and called them up, he explained the work and let them off.

"Well, I guess we're working together?"

"Mhmm!"

The two boys sat down and started working. Though Xiao was very focused, Venti was busy playing his lyre. Xiao didn't mind since it gave him inspiration for a composition. Eventually, Venti stopped playing and he leaned on Xiao.

"Xiao~~"

"Mm... what is it Venti?"

Xiao stopped working and looked around before kissing Venti's forehead. The other smiled and sat up, Xiao began working again but then Venti quickly stopped him and asked a question.

"Xiao, why'd you pick music? I never thought you'd be one to play the music. You've always just listened to me play."

"Well I have a flute that's just been collecting dust in a box so I thought maybe I could learn to play it again."

Venti's eyes seemed to sparkle and Xiao got a little concerned on what Venti was thinking.

"I could teach you!!"

"You would?"

"Yeah, Why wouldn't I?"

Xiao internally facepalmed as he just asked the dumbest question in the world. Of course Venti would teach him! They both smiled and the teacher ended class. After packing up, Venti looked at Xiao's schedule.

"Ah so we have Science last period... you free after school? I'll come get you from your classroom and I'll start teaching you today?"

"Hmm... that would be nice"

Venti happily skipped off and Xiao went to his next class... which was Chinese, aka hell.

I had Chinese first lesson today and it was heel Cuz I had only slept for 5 hours :')
Chinese is literal hell so :)

Anyways I just realised this thing hit 1k views??? I can't believe it cuz like I just started this for fun XD
Well I might do smth special for it but probably not cuz I don't have time :') (aka school issa bij)
