She slowed down as she heard the footsteps disappear behind her. Part of her appreciated the fact that the monsters had stopped, but at the same time, she could learn something from her. For now, she needed to find Luiza's house. If that was where everyone was going to hide from the monsters, maybe she could learn from them.

If all she could do was learn something, she was grateful.

There was a best way to avoid them, she would have to figure that out as she went about. She needed to have the best tools to survive if she was going to find her sister and survive the attacks.

As she rounded to another house, Leigh glanced at the blood in front of the door. She breathed in, focusing in on any snarling or growling. She could hear the growling in the distance, but didn't hear anything close. She slowly walked into the house, slowly closing the door behind her.

Even if she didn't hear anything near her, she needed to be as careful as possible. The more she focused on how careful she was, the better off she would be. No surprise attacks, no strings attached.

She needed to be prepared for anything that was to come her way.

"Alright," Leigh whispered as she followed the blood. It stopped at a window, glass was all over the ground. She poked her head out through the window, there was no body. Blood laid in the snow, creating a path towards the mountains and out of the village.

Whatever it was, it was gone now. She breathed a sigh of relief, pulling her head back into the window. She needed handgun bullets if she was going to fight against the creatures. She slowly started through the house, pulling drawers open. As she pulled one open next to the sink, there was a knife. She took it out, looking it over. Anything was better than nothing, as long as she had something extra.

If she ran out of bullets, she could at least have a knife to defend herself.

That was better than nothing.

Leigh sighed, placing her knife in her pocket. She looked around, going through every drawer and every box in the house. Finally, she opened another box and handgun ammo hit the floor.

A smile crossed her face and she breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn't much better, but she could try to conserve her ammo as much as possible. She placed the ammo in her pocket and walked back towards the broken window.

She climbed out, sighing. She remembered where the voices were, she was getting close. She wasn't quite there, but she was getting close.

"It's like a shrine," Leigh murmured. She stared at a larger portrait and four smaller ones. One looked like the man that had taken her sister. The portrait didn't do the man justice, but it was close to being him.

Close enough.

She then looked at a crest in the middle of the table. She picked it up, looking it over. She didn't know what it was, but it looked like it would fit the castle doors. She sighed, looking around the room until her eyes fell on a satchel lying on the floor. She yanked it up and brushed the dust off.

It would have to work.

She put it around her shoulders and placed the Maiden Crest in the bag. It looked like it fit in the castle doors so she was going to take it just to be sure. It was better to be safe than sorry.

If it was what she thought it was, there was really no harm. She closed the satchel and removed her knife from her pocket. She moved the knife in a defensive position, but in case something surprised her.

Now, it was onto Luiza's.

The more she walked, the closer she got to her destination. She would be able to figure out what was going on soon.

As she exited the house, Leigh looked towards a house with a gate. There was a field, she could hear a slight snarling coming from the field. She couldn't see anything moving, but only heard it. The monsters from before.

There was one more key she needed to open the castle doors, she would have to come to find it eventually.

Slowly, she stared towards the house. She listened to the rustling now, there were three people moving in the field. Well, people or monsters, it didn't matter. If they were a threat, it was something that she needed to worry about.

If not, she would leave them be so she could get through. She moved to the left of the fence, walking up the path. She focused on the snarling, hearing it come closer, but as it did, they moved away.

None of the beasts in the field came close to her, but the snarling became louder as she past them and softer as she left them behind in the field. It was mind boggling, why weren't they attacking her?

The man had left them behind when he took Logan, perhaps something to do with her sister. As she got to the gate, Leigh pulled on it. It budged, but refused to open.

She gritted her teeth and placed her forehead against the gate. She looked up, seeing the sharp edges around the gate. Her gaze then focused on the house beside it. She sighed, it was her only option. She walked to it, gripping the roof.

While fighting wasn't her style or working out for that matter, Leigh pulled herself up. Logan had talked her into going to the gym and keeping some amount of upper body strength, even if it wasn't what Logan had.

Leigh looked over the wall and climbed over, her feet landing on the ground.

Luiza's house.

She slowly breathed, listening for voices.

"Shut up," a man's voice hissed.

"Knock it off," a woman's voice hissed back.

There was no point in going in, she could hear more mumbling and whispers inside, different tone levels.

They out numbered her and she doubted they would help. Leigh rubbed her face, out of the corner of her eye was a gold light. She looked up, slowly walking towards it. It was another shrine and it held the other key. It looked exactly the same, but was carved differently. Her hands grasped the metal, yanking on it.

It refused to budge.

Leigh took her gun, aiming it at the lock. She needed the last key to the castle.

She was going to find Logan.
