"You could be useful to me, your powers."
That was exactly what he had told her, useful. When she asked if he was planning on killing her, he didn't give her a straight answer. He simply smirked at her and lit another cigar, leaving her there.
No straight answer, but she could tell he was planning something else. Not kill her, but not make her life easy at the same time. Possibly far much worse than death, but that was yet to be seen.
On the other hand, how useful could her powers actually be to him?
Leigh sighed, crossing her legs. There wasn't much she could do now. She could focus on finding Logan and listen to her situation, but also focus on everything else around her. It would kill boredom for right now, that seemed better than anything.
Leigh closed her eyes, focusing on smell first. She could smell copper, it almost made her gauge. Besides that, blood.
Parts of her hoped that something would give for her to get out, give her the opportunity to get out. However, things wouldn't be that easy. Leigh breathed in, she knew what would come of this. Whatever he was planning was besides the fact, he was trying to keep her a secret. She had heard him say that, that unlike Logan, he would keep her a secret.
A secret from the other Lords, a secret from Miranda.
Mother Miranda was still a mystery to Leigh, she didn't know who she was, but they worshipped her like a God.
Leigh breathed deeply, there was a smell of filth, like garbage. She shook her head, moving to her hearing next. She could hear snarling from the monsters that had gotten her, Lycans.
Farther in was metal clacking, that had to be Heisenberg working on whatever he worked on in the dreadful place.
As her hearing went farther than the factory, she could catch the whispers of villagers, but there was something else closer to the village.
A woman, though she wasn't sure who she was. She was having a conversation with someone else... but the name that came from her mouth, she knew it was a Lord.
Mother Miranda, the name uttered from the woman's mouth which made her hone in even more on the conversation.
"Mother Miranda, the girl speaks of her sister. She said she was following Heisenberg, but she has different powers than her sister. There is no way to find the girl, how long must we keep looking?" The woman huffed, the irritation in her voice was at its peak.
"We aren't going to do anything to the girl until you say so. For now, she's working, but I told my daughters to leave her alone until you decide what to do.. Yes, Mother Miranda, I understand. We are waiting for your word on the ceremony."
Everything snapped back, smacking Leigh in the face. She quickly shook her head, regaining her realizations of the real world. She leaned back, now she had even more questions for her captor. What was this ceremony?
Heisenberg was keeping Leigh a secret while her sister got the short end of the stick and was wherever she was currently. Heisenberg had made it perfectly clear that she wouldn't make it to where Logan was, but he knew better than she did.
On the other hand, he couldn't know what all Leigh was capable of. She was always learning something new about her powers so not even Leigh had the answers to everything that she was capable of.
Sometimes she even impressed herself.
What could she do now? Perhaps her only option was convincing Heisenberg to let her out so she could find Logan, but he had plans for her. He had not told her what those plans exactly were so she needed to figure that out too, but for now, she could at least get his attention.
Gripping the chains in both hands, she yanked as hard as she possibly could, causing them to rattle. "Hey!" She hollered at the top of her lungs.
She just needed to get his attention.
Metal slammed down, that was a sound she definitely couldn't miss. It echoed throughout the factory and Leigh flinched slightly. That probably would've busted her eardrums had she been focusing on Heisenberg.
"I swear to God, what's your reason for interrupting me?" Heisenberg snarled as he walked into the room.
Leigh smiled nervously. While she did feel like she could manage if he tried anything, he was no less scary. "I just had a few questions."
He stared at her, that was the best way for her to get his attention? He sighed, grabbing a chair and sitting down in front of her. "What is it now?" She was beginning to get on his nerves, but he needed her. Despite how irritating she was, her powers were relatively useful. It would help him get the upper hand in the war he took to Miranda.
While he could not use her powers for himself, she could assist him in other ways. If she was able to hear conversations when she was not in the room as Logan had said, it wouldn't be hard for him to get the upper hand in whatever Miranda decided to plan against him if she ever got the chance.
Not to mention the other Lords, they would be a threat to him too in his fight against Miranda.
As far as Leigh was concerned, he was her enemy, but not quite at the same time. If he would let her out or answer her, she could steer clear from him. "Can you specifically tell me where my sister is and what the ceremony is?"
He knew she was hearing conversations about it, if her powers were as serious as Logan had said and they seemed to be so. Heisenberg just smirked and chuckled. "Alright, but you have to offer me something in return."
A favor for a favor.
What could he possibly want from her?
