"Kelsani, please....don't do this...WakE uP!"

Rea gasped awake as she jerked up from her spot. She took a deep breath to slow down her racing heart before drawing her knees to her chest. The soft fabrics brushing against her skin.

Only then did she remember she was not home. A girl her age sat on the floor next to the couch, staring at her. She had hardly met Nikaelis's other siblings, but she was sure this one was Hika. Out of all his siblings, Nikaelis only had two sisters, one still being a baby. Her black eyes resembled her brother's one good eye, telling her not all of them shared their mother's full gene. Though seeing them managed to calm Rea down a bit.

"Um...h-hello. Hika right?" Rea asked and Hika nodded.

"Did you have a bad dream?"

"I don't know. I just heard a voice. It scared me."

Hika nodded before leaping to her feet. She sat across from Rea on the couch before holding out a small white crystal. One fairly similar to the one she lost.

"Where did you get that?"

"I made it for you. Nickie told me about your powers, how this use to help you control it. Take it."

Rea stared at the crystal. A part of her desperately wanted to take it. To hide from the ghosts once more. Silence the voices, numb the pain she felt for them again and live a normal life.

"Open your eyes. It's just us in here now."

Rea reached out and gently pushed Hika's hand away, turning her head from the crystal.

"Thank you, Hika, for thinking about me. But I don't think I need that anymore."

"Morning Sunshine! Going to the Hostess Grill for breakfast to meet up with Zyair. You've got ten minutes to get ready!"

Rea grinned before shaking her head. Even in the morning, Nikaelis was bursting with energy. Hika put the crystal in her pocket before standing first, holding her hand out to Rea.

"Come on, I have your clothes in my room."

Rea smiled before following her to one of the elevated rooms. A large hammock hung in one corner, a purple, cotton, bean-bag in another. Multiple skateboards and gear sat by her window as well a black, fox-skull guitar.

"You play?" Rea asked as she took her clothes from yesterday off Hika's wooden dresser. Hika locked her door behind her as Rea changed, wanting to keep her brothers' prying eyes away.

"We all do. A Molton's voice can be magical depending on how we use it. Nickie is not really good with any instruments, he tends to break them a lot. But he can sing.... You like him, don't you?"

Rea fell over on her pant leg when Hika spoke. She tried her best not to laugh as Rea scrambled to her feet.

"I-I never said that!"

"You didn't have to. All of my brothers are scoundrels when it comes to pretty girls, we're hardly sober at night when the fun stuff happens. But you're the first girl Nickie has ever actually brought home."

"I am?" Rea asked, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks.

"Normally I'd tell his interests that what ever happens is their fault for even being interested in my brother. But he lets his guard down when around you. I'm just letting you know, you're the one who calls the shots."

"So he....he likes me? Me?"

And I broke her. From one look, Hika knew the poor girl had never had a romantic relationship with anybody before. Boys were a sensitive subject to her but after being exposed to magic, her standards shifted drastically for a human girl.
