The room vibrated with every bass drop. Green and blue lights flashed along with the glow of the DJ on stage. Despite the big crowd, Mekhi did not hesitate to dance with his brothers and Rea. All the while waiting for Amiire and the rest of the lot to arrive.

"Kev, I am begging you to knock out that damn DJ," Jack shouted over the loud music. "If I have to listen to one more Kelly Clarkson song, I'm gonna lose my shit."

"Have we heard from Vince yet? They're late," Rea asked Mekhi and he shrugged.

"I don't know. I think they're right on time."

Not only did the lot notice their entrance, but so did the rest of the school. Amiire, Zyair, Jasp, Zylith, Nikaelis, Ralyks, Amias, Bibimal, and Mejia stood at the entrance of the gym, admiring the new place. Each of their outfits clearly showing they were not from the human realm. Mekhi could easily tell Vince had dressed them all, especially Amiire's attire. Amias gripped onto Zyair's arm like an excited puppy.

"I've never been to a party before! Look at all the lights!"

"You lived in the human realm, how have you never been to a human dance before?" Zyair questioned.

"Really think Gavlen was the type to throw parties?.....Why are people staring at us?"

"'Cause we're hot," Zylith said as she spanked Amias, making him jump. "Now let's make everyone bust their pants."

"Do you really have to say it like that?" Jasp sighed, though they all followed her deeper into the crowd.

"Who the hell are those guys?" Maryland asked as she and her friends hung around the snack bar.

"Who cares? Dibs on the cute blonde with the crop-top."

"Have fun with the clearly gay kid. I already have my man," Maryland said as she strode over to Kevin.

He too was watching the newcomers make their way into the dance. She saw an opening to grab his arm while he was distracted. At least until another blocked her path. All she managed to grab was Zylith's butt.

"Oh my! Handsy little tramp, aren't ya?"

"What did you just call me?!"

"Maryland, meet Zylith. The exchange student I told you about."

"You weren't kidding about that?" Maryland asked, eyeing Zylith.

"Even his dashing imagination can't make up a creature like me toots. Call me later if you still want that dance," Zylith said as she winked.

Kevin drew her further into the crowd. Jack took Zyair's hand, confused why he suddenly seemed shy.

"What's wrong?"

"This isn't a Molton club, people know you here.... Aren't you embarrassed to dance with me?"

Jack chuckled before holding Zyair from behind, grasping his hips.

"How could I ever be embarrassed by someone who dances like you?" Jack then quickly spun Zyair to face him, holding him close.

"I need to tell you something," Zyair said. Though he was struggling to focus with Jack so close to him. Especially when he pulled up to Zyair's ear so he could better hear him.

"You can tell me anything."

"Gavlen told me something before I killed him. He said that there was another. He was looking at Mekhi."

"Another one of Vince's kids? Or a Tothem?"

"I didn't exactly keep him alive long enough to find out."

The two glanced over to Mekhi and Amiire. Their eyes were only on each other as they danced. They were content, moving in their own world as if nothing else mattered.

"Whether it's a sibling or another Tothem, Gavlen didn't mutter that as his last words for no reason. He wants us to find whoever it is. And even if it's a trap, it'll be better than waiting for it to come to us."
