"How long have they been at it?" Rea questioned as she, Zyair, and Ralyks watched the sparring match outside the window.

When Jasp awoke, he joined Amiire and Mekhi in their personal training session. Both attacking Mekhi to better test his skills. Over the past few hours, his technique quickly grew. He now used two swords instead of one in order to fend off the both of them.

"Three hours I think. Their stamina is ridiculous when it comes to fighting," Zyair said as he watched them. He then turned his attention down to Rea, making her stiff. "So, you can see us now, huh?"

"I'm sorry! I know your kind likes to stay hidden from humans but I won't tell anybody! I swear! No one will believe the tiny Freshmen who looks like a kid anyways and I personally think your magic is really cool, and-mhf!"

"Look what you did, you got her babbling," Nikaelis said as he held a hand over Rea's mouth, silencing her.

"I just asked a question."

"You're pretty-boy look can't hide your bitchy persona. You can be one intimidating dude to some people. She's a precious soul, stop scaring her."

"What is a human, exactly?" Ralyks questioned.

They all jumped when one of the boys behind them shrieked. After feeding them, the lot finally got them all to bed. At least until Caleb started to scream in his sleep. He was fed and he was clean. Nothing touched him nor hurt him, hence their confusion why he was so upset.

"He's gonna wake the rest of them up," Zyair urgently said.

Before they could even make a move to the toddler, Mekhi was inside and by the young lot in seconds. He scooped up Caleb who's eyes remained closed, and held him to his chest, shushing the toddler.

"It's okay, Bud. You're safe," he whispered before placing a hand on the back of Caleb's head.

Images of Chris and Kevin playing basketball with him was pulled from his memory, playing again through his mind. Another of the grand feast King Amiire displayed for them all, for it was biggest meal they ever had.

Caleb quickly calmed down, the bad memories replaced with good ones. He fell asleep in Mekhi's arms once more, gripping the shoulders of his shirt. The others stared at him in disbelief.

"How did you do that?" Nikaelis asked in awe.

"My first few months in the Sanloft, Caleb would have terrible nightmares and act out in his sleep. Vince would comfort him without waking him up, or he'd never go back to sleep again that night. I knew he'd have an episode in this state sooner or later. The kid practically grew out of it when he turned thirteen."

The toddler being able to quiet down so quickly though proved one thing to Mekhi. They all still had their memories, but their thought process was marked down a few levels. If Caleb was having his nightmares now, did that mean they were reverting back to their normal selves?

He laid Caleb back down next to his brother and gazed over the rest of them. They slept a lot more as toddlers, but were equally as energetic. At least when they were teenagers, Mekhi did not have to worry about them as often. They knew how to fight on their own, how to fend for themselves.

Probably why you lot get into more trouble than me.

He gently brushed Cori's cheek as the toddler rolled over to grip his hand. Even if he was back to his normal self, Mekhi was sure he would do the same thing. Once they do return to their natural selves, Mekhi had no idea what he was going to do next. He could take them back to Markvere, but for how long? How long did they need to let the powers settle in them again? Did he have to bring them back to the human world?
