So let's talk about "problems" today. I mean that's what everything really revolves around nowadays.

My problems seem so... Insignificant compared to theirs... Sometimes it's the opposite as well. "THAT'S what they're crying about?"... But yeah... A problem is still a problem... Everyone has them... Some more than others... Some bigger than others... Some less than others... And some smaller than others... But in the end, that's what they are, problems... The severity of it never determines how badly it will affect someone.

Two people going through the same problem will cope with it differently... Keeping that in mind, never compare your problems with others and especially don't make fun of someone for having them... It's not their fault they have them. It's not their choice they have them. If it were upon them, they would much rather not have any.

And if someone trys to open up to you... The least you can do is quietly listen to everything they has to say... Don't interrupt or judge... Just listen... If you are good at comforting people / good with words then even better!

If you wanna do a bit more, lend them a shoulder and wipe away their tears for them. Softly. Lovingly. Tell them they matter. Smile.

To you my problem might seem insignificant, not worth the pain I feel, not worth the tears I shed, or maybe just not worthy enough to mull over. But to me, they mean a lot. They sting a lot. They hurt a lot. More importantly, they're mine.

If I ignore them, they keep stabbing at my heart. My consciousness. My insides. My everything.

Just because you stop acknowledging your problems doesn't mean they stop being there. They're still very much present at the back of our minds. You won't ever be able to forget about them unless you try and find a solution and that can only happen if you start considering your problems as questions that need answering. Answers only you can give. Answers only you know.

If you keep thinking about a problem as a problem itself, it'll eat away at you. It won't let you breathe. You'll feel your insides twisting. That's the sad thing about problems actually.

They hurt.

It hurts.

A lot.

But it's somewhat reassuring to think that everyone's going through something. No matter how small or big. Everybody's drowning in their individual pain and problems.

It's reassuring because then I feel less lonely :)
