I sat up in bed and let out a relieved sigh, it's Sunday. No school! Since there is no school and I want to stay comfortable this morning, I put on a plain lavender t-shirt with light gray joggers and grab my bible and journal to do some devotional quiet time with the Lord this morning. I jot down some notes, highlight verses, journal some, and pray. I then hop out of bed and head downstairs to a horrifically weird sight of Chase dancing to his blaring music in a chef hat and apron as he makes breakfast.

"Morning Liz!" He yells over the top of his music and turns it down a few notches. I giggle at him.

"What's got you all in the mood this morning?" I ask.

"I honestly have no clue, I just wanted to make breakfast for you, mom, and dad today." He responds as he plops a stack of blueberry pancakes on my plate. I sit hesitantly but then start shoveling my face. Man, I forgot how bad a cook I am but how amazing Chase is at it. I finish eating and am about to head upstairs when I get stopped by Chase.

"Hey Lizzie, do you wanna hang out with me and a friend today?" Chase wonders, leaning his elbow on the kitchen counter.

"Sure! What friend?"

"Mallory." Oh yes, Mallory, I could've called that. Mallory Taylor is my brother's girlfriend. They became really close in their senior year of high school and both ended up going to the same college and that's how they became a "thing." But Mallory is awesome, I am glad my brother chose her instead of some snobby jerk. Knowing my brother though, that would never be the case anyway.

"Sounds great! Can I invite a friend too?"

"Go for it." I head back upstairs in my bedroom and put on a cameo-patterned t-shirt with ripped jeans and a denim (that matches my jeans) jacket over my shirt. I do my short blonde hair in loose curls and put on some flashy, but not too noticeable makeup on.

I pull up Takes 3 2 Spill the Tea text chain and send out a message to Genevieve and Londyn.

"Either one of you wanna hang out with me, Chase, and his girlfriend today?"

"Oh and btw, Chase is back. Forgot to mention that.😊"

"Yay! Hope to see him soon! Sorry, I can't today, I promised Max I would hang out with him. Besides, don't you have to work at Red Robin today?" Genevieve says. I see the three dots that indicate Londyn hopping on.

"Nope, not today. My boss gave me a few days off since he knows that Chase just got back. He said I should have some time to spend with him." I mentioned. My job is a waitress at Red Robin, I like to say I am pretty good at it. I mean, I interact with everyone, always have a smile, have a really good memory of everyone's order and usually get a lot of tips! Plus, I think I am my boss's favorite! It's not the dream job, but I mean it's pretty good for a high schooler!

"Sorry Lizzie, would love to. Can't. Some other time?" She says.

I sigh, I guess we did just hang out together yesterday at the mall, but that was so fun and I was just looking forward to that again.

"No worries girls, talk 2 ya later!"

They say goodbye to me and I meander around my bedroom, pondering on who to invite. I finally pulled up a friend's name and sent out the text.

"Hey, wanna hang out today?" I sent it to Sebastian Taylor. Mallory's brother. He is also my best guy friend. Our families are super close and have been ever since the two of us were little and we end up hanging out a lot. It's brought us really close as friends and he is the only boy I consider as one of my best friends, and he could say the same about me.
