The night came fast. I sat outside the tent Murphy, Emori and Raven were staying in. Emori and Murphy made up. I was actually glad about it. They've always been cute together. A small smile spreads to my lips thinking of them together and what they went through. It sucks they split for a bit but now they're back together. Can't say the same for me though. I literally just broke up with who I thought would be my forever. But maybe that's just the plan the universe wants for us right now.
"Hey you," a voice says causing my eyes to lift from the ground where I was messing with a stick. I look over to my right locking eyes with Raven's as she sits down beside me. I give her a gentle smile pulling my knees up to my chest and dropping a hold of the stick, wrapping my arms around my knees.
"Hey," I respond looking out.
"You okay?" The girl asks and I shrug my shoulders.
"As well as to be expected, I guess." I drop my eyes to the ground feeling Raven's eyes on me. I shift in my seat and shake my head. "You guys heading to bed?" Out of the corner of my eye I see Raven nod her head and tear her eyes from me. I glance to her briefly then look down to the ground noticing Raven reach her hand over and place it on my knee. My eyes stay on her hand, clenching my jaw a bit before looking away and to the girl. Our eyes lock and I watch as her eyes flick back and forth between mine. But as soon as our eyes lock the faster I pull away.
"I know things are hard right now, but it'll get better," Raven whispers and I nod my head slowly. "And I want you to know I'm here for you. So is Murphy and Emori. Alright?" I nod once again feeling Raven remove her hand from my knee. "We're going to go to bed... You coming in?"
"Yeah in a bit," I answer, gently. The olive skinned girl nods her head standing up quickly.
"Don't stay out too late. We have a big day tomorrow." I nod at her and turn my head seeing the girl nod and turn on her heels. I watch as she walks into the tent and the doors shutting once she's inside. A low sigh escapes my lips turning my head away. Slowly I stand up and stretch, looking up at the sky a moment. It's beautiful. The stars, the moon. This is one of the reasons I missed being down here on Earth.
I tear my eyes from the sky and begin walking a bit just to stretch my legs a bit. There was a nice, cool breeze as I walked. I shove my hands into my jacket pockets, keeping my eyes on the ground a moment till I hear a noise. Swiftly my head lifts and I stop walking. My eyes slowly look around realizing a little ways away from the tent and from a lot of where people were sleeping. I squint my eyes realizing this and shrug my shoulders turning back around and heading in the direction I was. I stay along the wall everyone had built to protect us some. It was structured well but not as well as I've seen before. Like there's a hole in the side. Wait...
