Chapter 5: Stranger Danger

Victoria and you just had brunch. The rest of the band has gone back to the hotel. You and her where discussing almost every topic. You told her about you're plans for the future, and she told you about hers. 

Vic and the rest of the band where in the middle of a European tour. Right now they where taking a month off, just to get a break. They chose this area because they know that people don't visit here very often. The people living in the area have all lived here for a long time. Not many have been outside of the country. They've all mostly spent their whole life in this little. town. They where now leaving in two days to start touring again. 

Their career really went off after winning Eurovision. Without that win, they probably wouldn't be here. 

She was super sweet. She had an outgoing personality and a creative mind. She explained songs that she was thinking about releasing, and the meaning behind them where astronamical. Something you would have never come up with. 

She described the rest of the band members and how they where. She said that every one of them where different in their own type of way. Which was quite cool. Most band members have a lot in common. 

After brunch, you and Vic walk back towards the hotel. Now you've really become good friends. She was a good friend. She was a great friend. She really brought out the best of you. 

Arriving at the hotel lobby, you see the rest of the band sitting at a nearby lounge. You walk over there. Vic sits down. You feel uncomfortable to stay. Before you turn around to leave, Vic pulls you down next to her. Between her and Damiano...

This was not what you wanted. Even though if you somewhat didn't like Damiano, it was extremely odd sitting next to him. 

At first, you thought that his arm was around you, and it kind of made you uncomfortable. But then you realize that he had his arm across the back of the couch before you even sat down. 

Why didn't he move his arm? Doesn't he hate you?

Instead of overthinking the whole situation, you pretend like it's not bothering you. It actually doesn't, it's just strange. 

"What have you guys been up too?" Vic asks the guys.

"Not much, just sitting around and trying to rest the last couple of days before tour", Ethan answers. His voice was very soothing and calm. 

An awkward silence spreads over the lounge area. You decide to ask a simple question, just to keep the conversation going. 

"Where is your next destination?"

"Greece" Thomas answers quietly. 

"Thats cool". You say, and leave it at that. 

They all start talking to each other in Italian. You, not understanding a word, just sits there, looking at them. When Damiano, next to you starts talking, you feel the air from his breath hit your ear. 

A chill goes down your spine. But you do your best trying not to show it, that would be really embarrassing if they noticed. 

They talk for quite a while, its gone about ten minutes. You, kind of drifting away from reality, you slowly lean back against the sofa. But when your scapula meets the couch, you realize that you've just lean on Damianos arm. 

Shit. 

The only solution to this awkward situation is to lean back up. 

"Oh, shit. I am so sorry" You say while leaning up again.
