Calamity went the rest of the day without seeing Adrian once, and for some reason half of her was worried about him. He had been cold and angry with her, but he had also been warm and for a few moments at lunch she had actually forgotten he held her at the end of a gun. Though for see to so much fear written on his face had her worried, that was the first time she had seen anyone look that afraid. She shut her locker, tossing her bag over her shoulder before she pulled out her phone and checked for any texts from him. She had sent him a few after lunch, mostly to try and see if he would answer her on what she was seeing. His fear had only confirmed to her that he was tied into whatever she was seeing but he seemed even more afraid of it than she was. She sighed, seeing her messages were just the same as she had left them earlier before shoving her phone in her pocket as Jade joins her by her locker.

"Any word from our local emo old man?" Calamity ran her right hand through her hair to brush it out of her face before shaking her head.

"No, I just want to know what spooked him so bad. He hasn't answered any of my texts though." She fell in line beside Jade as they walked to the staircase together.

"I am surprised that boy even knows how to use a phone, he looked like he hadn't ever seen headphones before." Calamity shrugged, using the motion to adjust her bag on her shoulders as well. She took the stairs two at a time and reached the first floor about a minute faster than Jade who caught up with her slightly winded.

"Maybe he hasn't ever seen them wireless before or something?" She waited for Jade to catch her breath before they headed for the main entrance, Jade shrugging at her comment.

"Maybe but I doubt it, I don't know what boulder he lives under, but he needs to get with it. Maybe he's a time traveler who got stuck." She snickers at her own comment, Calamity pulling her hood up over her head as Jade reaches into her bag and pulls out an umbrella. She looked outside with a soft whistle, the rain was heavy and so thick that they could hardly see the parking lot from the doorway. "Man, it is pouring, I know the weather said it was going to rain, but this is crazy." She opens the transparent umbrella as they step out into the rain, Calamity looking up through the umbrella for a moment admiring the view of the drops above them.

"Ya this is insane, I'm not used to this much rain." Calamity eyes Jade who laughs at her softly.

"Welcome to storm season I guess." The two girls started walking with Calamity's direction to the place she called home, taking her time over the crosswalk where Adrian had saved her from becoming roadkill. Her thoughts began to wander to him again as Jade began to talk about her idea for their project, though Calamity wasn't hearing her too much. Her mind was focused on Adrian, especially how he acted at lunch. The sight of his fear covered eyes flittered in her mind and she shook the thoughts away before turning back to Jade. "So ya I was thinking we could just do a slideshow, you any good with graphic design?"

"Ya decently good I guess, enough to make it look professional and flashy at the same time." She guided Jade up her driveway, looking over the lawn. Adrian was right, it was super overgrown. She fumbled in her pockets before finding her keys and opening the door to let the girls in and out of the rain, Calamity let Jade in first before following her in. The bronze skinned girl pushed her hood down, fluffing her hair before closing her umbrella and shaking it out on the porch as Calamity walked in and gently shivered. "Lance we are back!" She investigated the kitchen, reaching up and lowering her hood as a voice called down from upstairs.

"Hey Cala! I am upstairs! You two want to come up?" She eyed Jade as she set the umbrella by the door and gave her a smile, the two trudged upstairs. Calamity made a stop in her room, quickly showing Jade where she could drop her bag for a moment as well as where the bathroom was before entering the doorway of Lances room. Her heart sunk softly as she watched him shoving at least a months' worth of clothes into a big duffle bag, the same one he had taken when he left for bootcamp.
