"Ooh what about him he's cute and I think he's a lawyer" my mother said pointing to a guy three tables to left

" No mom, you have the worst taste in men ever and how would you know if he's a lawyer hmm?" I replied irritated playing with the cake on my plate

"Always, pay attention to a man's suit; it'll tell you everything you'll need to know" she told me as she took a huge gulp of the champagne that was sitting on the red floral table cloths, spilling some on her gold dress that she had on. Of course she was a little drunk it was her fifth one of the night

"Well I don't care if he's a garbage man the answer is still the same as the last seven times NO" I love my mom but she definitely gets on my nerves

"But you didn't even look at him so how would you know, he could be your future husband" she said pressingly

"Just know that I know so please drop the subject" I replied frustrated. i'm glad i didn't have any makeup on because she was stressing me out so bad my face was starting to get tense

"Oh, come on Ena give the guy a chance I'm sure you'll agree with me" she told me whining like a little child I swear she's 14 and not the 47 year old she's supposed to be

"Would you stop if I said I like girls?" I asked her hoping she'd say yes

"Nope" she said popping the p. Figures as long as the girl has money and is willing to marry me she's all for it

"Fine, but after this you'll have to leave me alone for the rest of the day, promise?" I asked as I narrowed my eyes at her

"Oh come on" she scoffed waving her arms around like a mad woman

"Really" she asked trying to persuade with her puppy dog eyes, but she really just looked like she had an eye twitch going on

"Yes really, no if and buts about it and that's final" I was not giving in this time no matter how much she whined and nagged

"Ughh fine I promise" she said huffing like a little child and folding her arms and leaning back in the black wooden chair but she soon sat up straight in unconcealed anticipation. She was definitely getting a kick out of this

I turned my head into the direction she was pointing to and I saw a guy about 6ft 3' with light brown curly locks and tan bronzed skin I could only see the side of his face since he seemed to be in an animated conversation with another good looking man from what I could see but you could tell that he was one hell of a looker. Hmm I guess mom was right for a change I guess talking to him wouldn't be so bad after all, or so I thought

Just as I was about to turn around the man did and I got a full look at his face and saw that it was none other than Matt, Meredith's gay cousin

"He's gay mom" I told her hoping she would now let the matter go but my mother is one determined female dog

"How would you know it's not like you've talked to the man" she said huffing stubbornly

"Actually I have and trust me I have nothing to offer him that he wants" but he definitely had on a nice suit lol

"Oh stop being so picky it's not like you have a wide range of options you can choose from, besides I wouldn't be doing this if you had a real job and could support yourself, then I wouldn't have to worry so much about you" she told me her voiced laced with worry
