Chapter 21- I'm Sorry

~Dabi's POV~

I sat on a ledge watching Hawks' apartment. The police finally left. All I wanted to do was find it, maybe it would give me some closure. I went in through the window. There was police tape everywhere. In the kitchen, I opened a drawer and a black journal with stickers all over it was inside it. I start flipping through the pages. The first view pages were blank. I read through everything he'd written inside.

What was written in summary:

Hey! It's Hawks. I know you're probably reading this Dabi. If you are, the mission was either a success or it failed miserably and I'm dead.

My mission was to infiltrate the League. Then I was told to bring Twice and/or Toga with me so we could help them. If it doesn't go according to plan I'll have to kill them if my life is threatened. If I do kill someone I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. How I feel about you isn't a lie. It started as a work mission but it turned into me feeling like I genuinely made friends... It wasn't a lie please believe that. I'm a liar and a traitor I'm so sorry. If you do forgive me thank you...I don't truly deserve your forgiveness and that's ok too. This was the most fun I've ever had so thank you, Love!

I love you Dabi! Maybe I'll see you in another life!

My eyes started tearing up blood. A small smile crept onto my lips as I wiped away the blood. "I love you too Birdie" I mumbled.

I took the journal, went onto the balcony, and watched the sunset. Everything would be ok after all...

Hello! So that's the end. I wasn't planning on ending it here but I hope you liked it! I personally don't think this chapter was my best work but I'm still proud of it. I might write a sequel to this I'm not sure yet. This was a lot of fun to write so thank you for being here, I appreciate your existence, support, you being here with me<3<3<3
