Chapter 15- Best Friends!

~Hawks's POV~

We got home and we both felt really tired. "My arm actually feels better" Dabi said. "That's good, you want food?" I asked. He shook his head, "I'm ok thanks but I do want to sleep because I'm exhausted, and please before work get some sleep I'm worried about you." 

"I appreciate it but don't worry. I'm ok" I tried to reassure him and I put my hand on his shoulder.  

"If you say so just make sure you eat something small and take a nap at least." 

"Ok, I will. May I please have a kiss?" 

"Of course." 

I went on my tippy-toes and kissed his lips gently. He tasted like strawberry bubblegum. "Good night Love" I told him before going to the kitchen and opening a secret drawer. I'd started keeping a journal. I took it out and placed it on the counter. I got a bucket of spicy chicken wings and milk. I sat down, unlocked the book and started writing. Usually I'd cried when writing but I didn't this time. 

Soon three A.M. came rolling around. I closed  and locked the book up. I went and wore my hero suit. I flew to the palace and went down to the dungeons with a bright lamp. I found the lockers and added the metal armor onto my suit. The previous guards must have left early because no one seemed to be here. I finished putting it on when BOO! 

Mirko came out from the shadows shouting "BOO!". I fell onto the ground and the lights switched on. My metal bottom clanking against the floor. She started laughing hysterically. "Oh my gosh Mirko you could've killed me!" 

She offered me her hand. "You seem just fine to me" she kept laughing. I chuckled a little. "Whatever, we have a job to do don't we?" 

"Yes we do!" She smiled brightly. We started simple by checking all the cells. The only good thing was I knew that this was temporary because people being sent to the dungeons was always a temporary kind of thing. We greeted the cell mates who were awake and left the ones who were asleep still sleeping. Some asked for food and Mirko gave them sandwiches that she had brought. 

We sat down for a second on the ground with our backs against the walls. "So how are you Hawks? I haven't heard from you in forever. You ok?" 

"Right now has been the best and worst part of my life but in general I'm alright." 

"Would you like to expand upon why?" 

"Promise you won't hate me?" 

"Your my bestfriend so of course I won't hate you."

"Pinky swear?" 

She stuck out her pinky and we shook our pinkies. "Pinky swear" she reassured. 

"Ok, so you know how I've been working with the League because of my mission?" I whispered into her ear. She nodded her head. 

"And you know Dabi?" She nodded again. 

"Well we've been seeing each other for around a month and a bit..." I turned away from her. 

"Your kidding or?" She asked. 

I turned so we would be looking eye to eye. "I'm serious." 

"Oh" was all she said for a minute. "If he hurts you he's died and you have to be careful ok?  I hope that this doesn't burst your bubble...but you know this might not work right? Because your a hero and he's a villain and stuff." 

I was stunned. I'd expected her to be mad but she sounded more worried about me than anything. "I know...and he hasn't hurt me at all! You won't tell anyone anything correct?"
