Chapter 4- Bonding?

~Dabi POV~

When I got back to Hawks' apartment he was still passed out on his couch. He was drooling and breathing slowly. I would have moved him but...this might be my only chance to sleep in a bed while I was here. I walked into his room and went over to his dresser. I changed into some of his clothes: sweatpants and a hoodie. His clothes were warm and smelled like lavender with a hint of chicken. It'd been really cold recently so this was a step-up. After a couple of minutes I fell asleep.

"My poor bed! It's been tainted!" Hawks cried dramatically. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. "It's not like I did anything bad.... Plus this is kind of your fault!" I said pettily.

"How?" he asked, "All I did was sleep in my own dang apartment!"

"Remember you told me to sleep on the couch but you were there and I sure as hell wasn't going to sleep on the floor. IT'S SO COLD!"

He laughed at me. "What are you laughing at?"

"You duh" he continued giggling infectiously.

I lit my palm. "You're so frickin' annoying, remember whose in charge around here?"

Hawks stopped giggling. "Since your staying here...you could at least be nice" he said quietly. "I don't know if I feel like it though, remember I'm still a vilain..but since I'm the responsible one here, I'll see." He pouted, and went to his dresser. 'It really is fun messing with him' I thought as I smiled slightly.

"I want to change so can you leave?" he said.

"Don't want to" I laid back on my back and closed my eyes.

"Just don't look, ok?"

"Wasn't planning on it."

After ten minutes I heard something and automatically shot up. I saw Hawks had hit is knee on the dresser and was cursing under his breath. He was shirtless and I could feel my face heat up. I hadn't noticed that I was staring. "Stop staring, will ya?" he asked.

"Whatever, do you have work today or something?" I asked with my face still feeling warm. If I was blushing which I WASN'T my scars would've covered it anyway.

"Yeah, I have night patrol with Mirko" he responded as he pulled on a plain white tank top.

"So what are you going to do today?"

He shrugged. "Don't know."

"Well good for you pretty boy, you'll be going out with me today!" I said with a smirk.

"Pretty boy?" he looked flushed, "What's with the nicknames and what do you mean GO OUT?"

I facepalmed, "I meant like I want you do to some stuff not a date or anything. Your hot but your too annoying for my taste."

"Same here, you're a bit of a prick...no offense" he responded calmly with that fake smile of his whenever he thought I was going to burn the building down or something.

"When people normally say no offense it's because they know they said something offensive."

"At least you have something up there" he joked. I chuckled and got out of bed to go to the kitchen.

~Hawks POV~

Dabi covered up by wearing my hoodie, a facemask, and a pair of gloves. If today went well, I might be able to officially join the League soon. Then I can get Dabi out of my space. I covered up too, hopefully no one would recognize me. Dabi texted Kurogiri and in a minute we were in a portal.
I'd fallen on my butt in the middle of a dirt road. Little kids were running up and down the road, talking and laughing. I turned my head to find Dabi snickering. I got up and dusted myself off.

"So what are we doing here?" I asked.

"I'm going to show you how much the heroes really don't care about anyone who doesn't stay in Hikari" he responded. I nodded and followed him.

"Welcome to Yami!' he whispered under his breath. I could hear the venom in his deep voice. We turned the corner: the dirt path lead to a small, rundown brick house which looked familiar.

"The heroes don't care about any of us here" he said bitterly as he stopped at the front of the house, "Have you been here before?"

"...I grew up here. In this house." I whispered. He turned to look at me with a look of confusion.

"What's with that look?" I asked putting my walls right back up. Putting them down might have been a mistake.

He shrugged, "Nothing, just assumed you grew up as some spoiled rich kid."

I couldn't help but laugh, "Quite the opposite!" I gave him a genuine smile. "When will I be able to meet with the rest of the League? Also did you stab me in my sleep??" I touched the part of my face where I got my scar.

He laughed at me. "Maybe tomorrow when we have our meeting, I just scratched your face!"

"Your a psycho PLUS you took my blood when we first met!" I teased. Dabi chuckled, "Your realizing this now?" We laughed for a couple more minutes until he had a serious look on his face again. "You feeling brave?" I nodded. "Good, now come on." He held my wrist and dragged me to a building with almost no buildings near it but it was reasonably close to the wall. I know that Yami wasn't at it's best right now but it was still a part of me.
Dabi whispered something into my ear and I was shocked that he wanted me to do something like that...so I just stood there.
