Konoha's pleasant surprise.

~Chapter 4~

•Meeting

"Okay we will be there at 9, bye" says Shikamaru as he hangs up the phone with Asuma. Asuma, Kakashi, Kurenai, Guy, Kiba and Shino, are going to meet everyone at the barbecue place. Once Shikamaru hung up the phone he looked over to see Shikadai who was just waking up. " He looks like your twin" Temari says as she looks at the boy. Even though Shikadai is awake he doesn't get up to go play with the other kids, he stay right on his mom, resting his head in her shoulder holding on to her shirt with his tiny hands. "Before we go to the barbecue place, we have to stop at the hotel to extend my stay." Says Temari while looking at Shikamaru. " No need for that, we have extra room at my house, i'll call and let my parents know your staying, and that we have another guest joining too" he says almost laughing at the fact that he has to explain this whole situation to his parents. Sakura was sitting down watching Sasuke play peekaboo with Sarada. Like Shikadai, Sarada didn't get up and go play with the other kids she stayed with her parents instead. As Sarada and Sasuke were still in an intense game of peekaboo, Boruto waddled over. " Come pay wif us" Boruto said as he pointed to the rest of the kids who were waddle running around. Sarada shook her head and turned back to her dad to continue their game. Hinata walked over to Boruto who looked a bit bummed that Sarada didn't want to play with him, and walked with him back over to the other kids. Naruto walked over to Sakura and Sasuke while holding baby Himawari. " Aw she's so cute! Can I hold her?" Sakura squealed. " Yeah here!" Naruto said with a bright smile on his face. "Wow Sasuke is being.. nice?" Naruto questioned sarcastically. " Shut up loser" Sasuke said looking at Naruto who had a huge smile on his face. Ino and Sai were watching Inojin play with Akari, Chocho, Metal and Boruto. All the kids seem to get along well. Rock Lee had a camera in his hand and was taking photos of Metals every move, stating he didn't want to miss a second of his son's youth. Neji jumped every time he saw that Akari stumbled, ready to catch her if she were to fall. Tenten was laughing at how nervous Neji looked. Hinata was trying to distract herself from the fact that she is going to end up with Naruto, but every time she couldn't fight the thought she turned bright red. Choji was watching Chocho play, but got hungry and opened a bag of chips. Chocho seemed to notice the sound of the chips opening, and she waddle ran over to were Choji was and reached her hand out to receive a chip. " I think we should start heading to the barbecue place, Asuma and everyone is probably already there waiting for us all" said Shikamaru with a Lazy tone. "Do you want me to hold him Temari?" Shikamaru asked. " I don't mind holding him, but you can take him if you want." Temari said sounding surprised that Shikamaru would offer. Shikamaru then reached his arms out and grabbed Shikadai. Shikadai let go of his mom's shirt, and got a grip on his dad's. Shikadai seemed a bit cranky but he wasn't really giving Temari and Shikamaru much trouble. All the pairs picked up there children and started heading to Shizune's office to get the supplies that she had for them. When they got there the knocked then opened the door to see a extra clothes for the kids, pull ups, diapers, strollers, toys, etc. Each pair grabbed a stroller and saved the double stroller for Naruto and Hinata. Shizune handed them the rest of the stuff, and some money so they could provide for the children. They all thanked her with a bow, then got the kids situated into the strollers. "Bye guys, come back here if you guys need any assistance." "Thank you Lady Shizune, we will". They all start walking over to the barbecue place, when they hear crying. Hinata walked over to the stroller where Hima was laying and picked her up. She rocked her back and forth as they all walked but she didn't stop crying. " Hey, let me try" says naruto with a smile on his face and he stops pushing the stroller and switches positions with Hinata. He was rocking back and for while walking, and trying to calm her down by singing her a Ramen song he came up with, but nothing helped. By the time all of them arrived to the barbecue place, Naruto and Hinata looked defeated. As they walked in the spotted the table where Asuma and everyone was sitting. As they walked closer to the table, the facial expressions of everyone at the table changed from happy to confused. Naruto was still bouncing the crying baby as he walked over to the table. He was looking at them desperately for help. Boruto, who was now out of his stroller and in his moms arms leaned over and was trying to calm Hima down also. Everyone at the table looked really confused. " Who are they?" Kiba asked " And why do they all look like you guys" Kurenai added on, as she walked over to Naruto to try to help with the baby. " Well it's a long story, but basically these are our kids from the future, and we have to take care of them while Lady Tsunade figures out how they got here and how to get them back" Choji exclaimed with his mouth full of chips. Everyone who was the table looked even more confused than before. " Okay, very funny, but who are they for real." Kiba asked again. " He's being serious. We were all shocked too, but it's true" declared Shikamaru while taking Shikadai out the stroller. Everyone at the table just glanced at each pair and the kid they were with. "So what are their names" Shino said breaking the silence. This is Himawari and Boruto" Naruto said pointing at the baby who was in Kurenai's arms finally calming down, and at the boy Hinata was holding. "They are me and Hinata's kids." Everyone at the tables jaw dropped as they looked at the smiling Naruto and red Hinata. "This is Sarada, the daughter of Sakura and I" Sasuke exclaimed. Kakashi looked like he was about to have an heart attack. " This is Inojin" Ino said snuggling into the child in Sai's arms. "This is Chocho, and I have not met the mom yet." he said handing Chocho more chips. "This is youthful Metal Lee, and I too do not know the mother yet!." Lee exclaimed while showing his son to everyone. Guy looked like he was about to explode into tears of joy. "This is Akari" Neji said as he pointed at the toddler who was trying to wiggle loose from Tenten. "This is Shikadai" Temari say as she held the hand of the child who Shikamaru was carrying. Everyone at the table stood silently in shock, until Guy Sensei jumped up from his seat and picked up Metal and Akari and started screaming hysterically " I have grand baby's!"
