-Your POV-
It was early when I got up, noting the time was 5:28. I sluggishly made my way to the kitchen, checking to make sure the coffee wasnt Stark's poison concoction before pouring myself a cup. 'Gods I feel like I slept with a truck on me…' I think to myself as I take a sip
As I sink into the couch, sighing as I do so, I notice a book on the table. Setting down my cup next to the book, I pick it up, looking for a title before opening the first page. It was a sketch book.
Flipping through the pages, I see a fair amount of drawings of flowers that seem to not be of Earth. Curious, I continue flipping through the pages, noticing a few pages after the flowers start to show more shakily drawn rooms, before showing more calmly drawn sketches of the inside of the Avengers tower. I stop when I flip to a page that shows a person, almost seeming as if it was me.
It couldnt be ME, right? I trace some of the smaller details gently, never pressing enough to smudge anything. I notice a small note at the bottom of the page '(Y/N)' was all it said
I felt my face flush, glancing over the drawing again before shutting the book, setting it down on the table. After a while, I feel someone's gaze on me, turning to see Loki 'Gosh we are running unto eachother...its almost like a fanfiction.'
[Good morning.] I sign, trying to smile and make it look as if I wasnt dead tired, but it doesnt seem convincing
[Tea?] He asks, walking to the kitchen, keeping his gaze on me for an answer [No thanks. I have coffee.] I tell him, turning my gaze back to my cup, picking it up and sitting on it while he brewed his coffee
After a while, the cushion shifts, caving in under Loki. I dont look up from my cup, stirring it awkwardly with my spoon. It only moves up as I see Loki lean over and pick up the sketchbook [Yours?] I ask, looking up to glance at his features befire looking back down at his hands [Yes. Did you look?]
I purse my lips before nodding slightly, feeling a little bit of warmth return to my cheeks [You're great at drawing.] I tell him, avoiding looking at him as I more vividly remember the drawing of me.
Loki takes one finger, and pressed it against the side of my chin, making me turn to face him [I can't say anything if you look away.] He says, a frown apparent on his face [Im sorry if me drawing you was weird. I wanted to practice people, and you were very still.] He explains, his lips pushed together with a little bit of force
I wave my hands infront of myself hurridly [No, its really nice! I was just suprised, and Im not particularly the best…] I pause as I find a good word to substitute for 'Model'
He seems to get the gist of what I was saying, even without the full sentance [You are fine as you are.] I smile at this, grabbing my cup again [Do you mind if I draw you again?] He asks, and I shake my head, holding up the 'Okay' sign so I dont have to set down my cup again.
We sit in silence for a while, well technically thats the usual, but without talking for a good ten to twenty minutes. It was interupted by Steve and Natasha. They were likely going to go train together [Good morning!] I sign to Natasha and Steve, who greet me back
Loki gets up, starting to talk to Natasha. Usually Nat would sign what she was saying so I could 'hear' the conversation, however this was not the case this time. My eyebrows furrow with concern as I notice that Steve is looking over at me confused. That told me that they were whispering. I would try to read their lips, but it was at such a bad angle that I couldn't. I sigh audibly, finishing my cup, and going to the kitchen to rinse it out 'They can have their secrets.'
A while after I sit back down on the couch, grabbing a book to read, a few people start to wake up as well, Loki still talking to Natasha.
Im startled away from my reading as someone sits down next to me, looking up to see Bucky. I smile and wave a bit to him, earning a wave back. I lean against him as his arm goes up to the back of the couch, it having been a habit that built up during movie nights. Often Bucky would sit next to me, Steve on the other side, and the both of us would lean against him.
People would tease about how I was able to just cuddle up against THE Winter soldier, but everyone knew that he cared for Steve, and I was just like a little sibling. Bucky was the one who technically recruited me anyways.
After a while of reading I feel the other side of the couch dip down, turning to see Loki again [What were you talking to Nat about?] I after I bookmark my page and set down my book
[It was nothing.] He tells me quickly, glancing up at Bucky, who I can feel had said something, but I have no idea what. So annoying that everyone was talking without letting me see today.
I huff, going back to my reading for a while before Bucky had to go. I complained briefly about my 'pillow' leaving, but it was only jokingly, so people laughed it off.
Now, once again, I am left alone with Loki. Im startled a bit as he sets his hand on my forearm, speaking into my head "Can we talk for a bit, Darling?"
I flush a tiny bit at the nickname, closing my book before turning to face him [About?] I ask, leaning back on the arm of the couch now, laying my feet on Loki's lap so he can talk
"About how you have nightmares." He says, making me tense up
I smile weakly, moving my feet off his lap, standing up [I'd rather not.]
