-Your POV-
I look around in amazement, the glass ceiling lined with gold reinforcement between the panels of glass. There were plants everywhere, most of them being flowers. Butterflies fluttered around in the room, spooking a little bit when we moved close to them, but not as much as a wild butterfly would.
Natasha catches my attention, smiling [They are all butterflies that have become sparce in new york. This place provides them space to repopulate, and they also keep plants here that 1.The butterflies like, and 2.Plants that are also starting to die out. They let people come in every once and a while, since it helps keep them afloat, but not many people get to see it, becuase they aren't nearly as rich as tin can.]
I laugh softly at her last remark, finding a stone bench, sitting down on it [What does it sound like?]
Natasha stops for a moment, listening presumably, before responding [There's a soft trickle of water, and somewhere there is some sort of music box? Playing?]
Loki sets his hand on my back as I glance around, jolting a tiny bit at the touch. He starts to softly hum to me, what I assume, is the tune the music box is playing.
It was relaxing, and imagining the notes becoming more of the sound they probably are made me smile [I think it's a good song for here. Its very nature like, if you know what I mean?]
"A little different from Asgard's 'nature' but, I suppose." Loki tells me before pulling his hand away.
I turn to look for Natasha, seeing they were talking with the receptionist from earlier. 'I suppose I shouldn't interrupt.' I think to myself, swinging my feet as I watch the butterflies
[You know what would be even cooler? If it was raining, and it makes the lighting slightly darker, but not like completely dark.] I sign as I look up at the window ceiling [And you could hear the rain landing on the glass. I wouldn't be able to, but you might enjoy it. I had found rain to be a good ambiance for reading, and the scenery just makes it special.]
Loki smiles at me, not just a little smile, or his mischevious smirk, a whole hearted smile, his eyes crinkling just a tiny bit. I wish I could have a picture of it, but he wouldn't like that, and it dropped soon anyways as he saw my staring.
Loki gently brushed some hair behind my ear, one of his fingers lingering on my cheek "Your face is flushed. And very warm. Are you getting sick? Or is it some sort of side effect of your cycle?" He asks, his face distorting with concern.
I lean back a bit, covering my face a bit, which quickly ended when Loki pulled my hands down "Whats wrong?"
[Its nothing. Dont worry.] I tell him quickly, and he lets go of it.
Natasha walks over just as my blush calms down, telling us that our time was up, and we had to go.
After having movie night, which Maria joined us for, even though she isnt synced up to our cycle.
Natasha, Loki, and I trudged off to our rooms, them being basically right next to eachother. Wanda had a room in the next hall over, so she didnt go with us. And well, Maria left becuase 'duty calls'.
[Thank you both for today.] I sign to them, hugging Natasha happily.
[No problem. Im glad you enjoyed yourself.] She said after we pulled apart. She ruffled my hair a bit before heading into her room.
"Do I get a hug too?" A question which suprised me [What about your whole physical contact thing?]
"Its fine." Loki said, holding out the arm that wasnt already placed on my back.
I happily hug him, wrapping my arms around his neck, shutting my eyes softly as he wraps his other arm around me.
I notice how tight his grip was, and I had also expected him to pull away quickly, but he just stayed with me pulled into him embrace for a good while. When he did pull away, he looked away slightly "Sorry. Its been a bit since I've been able to hug someone. Anyways, good night." He said quickly, before heading into his room, closing the door before I could even say anything.
It left me thinking to myself about it, repeating the moment in my head over and over while I got cozy, and tried to sleep.
But my mind kept retracing the sensation of being hugged by Loki. The ever so slight movement of his thumb against my back, and the soft sound of his heartbeat. It was a feeling I wanted to cling to constantly, it sent butterflies to my stomach, in contrast to the butterflies we saw today.
Time rolled past, and I started to hear the earlier risers getting up. 'Great. No sleep for me.' I think to myself as I get up, brushing out my hair, but leaving it down becuase im too tired to do anything with it.
Joining Cap, Bucky, and Natasha in the living room with a cup of coffee(or tea), I lean back into my chair, desperately trying to cling onto any energy my body had saved. I relax more as I feel my head getting a little bit fuzzy, stacking it up to my lack of sleep, so I shut my eyes, slumping over into the pillow I prior pulled into my lap.
-Loki's POV-
When I woke up, I spent some time thinking about the hug 'Maybe that was too long of a hug.'
Shaking my head, I quickly rinse my face before leaving my room to grab a cup of tea. 'Jasmine tea might be nice if we have any...' I think, being snapped out of my thoughts as I see (Y/N) sitting in the living room, her back turned to me. Her hair was down.
I walk over to her, gently running my hands through her hair before starting to braid it. Im careful to not pull her hair at all as she leans forwards a bit, leaning forwards as well. Quickly summoning some ribbon to add an accent, and to tie it off, I finish, hearing soft snores from her.
Smiling, I finish putting the braids in her hair, turning to see Natasha smirking. My smile falls, scoffing at her "Fine. I admit it." I tell her, to her satisfaction, she lets out a small humm
"About time. And when are you going to tell her that?" She asks as she follows me to the kitchen.
I dig through the pantry, finding some jasmine tea(to my delight) "I dont think I will." I tell her after closing the pantry door.
"And why wont you?" She asks, crossing her arms while standing at the end of the island table.
"Becuase I am not the best person for her to court." I remind Natasha, scooping out some of the tea leaves, putting them in the teapot "I did attack Earth before."
"Under mind control." She comments quickly "Whatever you decide to do, if its to hurt her, you will have the team on your ass, and you will regret it."
"Yes yes, I know." I turn to her, leaning on the counter as I wait for my drink "I will regret it, even if you and the team don't beat me up."
