Everyone was suprised when they saw you.

To start off, most of them were expecting, er, hoping, that you'd be atleast, conscious. But you'd entered a coma after just a few minutes of laying down on the floor while the path out got cleared.

But when you got back to the tower, they felt even worse when they saw the chart come up with all your injuries. Immobilized limbs, burn marks from electric shocks, and cuts and scrapes that were hard to tell what they were from.

What was even worse, was that you were still in the clothes you wore when you went missing. And the skin where the burn marks were, hadn't been cleaned for a while, so there was a buildup of slime of a sort.

Natasha helped clean you up, to which nobody objected. After that, you were put in a medical bed, and hooked up to an IV and heartrate monitor.

Loki sat down next to you while everyone asked Bruce and Natasha for more information on your condition.

He didnt feel bad, well, he felt like he was going to puke at any moment, but not that kind of bad.

He felt upset, angry, enraged, and lonely.

Upset because he left you alone, add was last to see you before you were kidnapped. Angry with the allfather for making Thor do other matters before letting him come back, and enraged that people could do this sort of stuff to others. To you.

And lonely. So very lonely. He was used to seeing you come into the living room when you got up, and the conversations that they had, even if he was the only one really talking.

At one point during the trip home, he thought about giving you part of his sedeir, but decided against it. He didn't want to burden you with that ontop of all this. Of course he would if you would die without it, but it wasnt your body that was dead. It was your emotions, your mental state, your brain was slightly damaged.

But that could be worked through.

For atleast a month Natasha and Loki stayed with you, Natasha would change your hospital gown when she finished treating your wounds, and Loki made sure to brush out your hair.

Natasha eventually had to go back to working on missions, however she brought little souvenirs from wherever she went, and started to pile them up on the table besides your bed.

Loki stayed with you almost constantly. He would occasionally sleep in the chairs, book still open, maybe caught by his thumb, slumped over in the chair.

Stark had even gotten a comfier chair for him, though he denied it profusely, and insisted Pepper did it.

Loki brought down two meals whenever he went to get food, but most of the time he would give it to your attending nurse after it went cold.

Two or three months in, Bruce hooked up a seperate IV that slowly administered a safer antidote for your limbs that hadn't been restored.

Four months.

It took four months for you to wake up, and the first thing you saw was Loki.

He looked up as your breathing got slightly ragged, and his book was quickly discarded as he rushed over. He gently brought a glass of water to your lips after helping you sit up, which you drank down quickly.

You lifted your hands to sign, but Loki pushed them down gently "Don't do that darling. Your body needs to heal a bit more." He said, softly rubbing your hand with his thumb.

The first thing you tried to get out was 'Are you real?'

It broke Loki's heart "Yes, very much real. I have some food for you." He said before turning and grabbing a plate of green beans and broccoli, along with a pulled pork salad "Banner said it would be a good meal to help you recover your strength."

You nodded ever so slightly, your hands shaking as you reached for the fork.

"I can help with that if you'd like." He offered softly, his hand gently pushing your hair back.

When you didn't answer, and instead let your hand fall back into your lap, he sat on the bed, and started to pick up some broccoli, and feed it to you.

Halfway through eating your sandwich, Bruce came down, and did a double take on you being awake.

He and Loki seemed to argue about something for a few moments, but Bruce quickly gave in.

Another few moments later, the group rushed in, and all started to hug you, and take up the seats that lined the edge of the curtain.

You felt overwhelmed all of a sudden. The last thing you thought was real was the torture. And now you were here, unaware of the date and time, and surrounded by people.

You leaned over a bit as your breathing picked up, but you calmed down as you felt gentle hands start to slowly rub your back. "Just focus on your breathing. In, and out." Loki guided you until you calmed down, and then he sat in the chair next to you, setting his hand on yours softly.

"The team wishes to tell you that they missed you, and that they are happy you are awake." He told you, noticing you struggling to read clint's signing, since he was going too fast.

You nodded, glancing at Loki, then back at the team.

The only one missing was Natasha. As if he read your thoughts, Loki spoke up "Shes on a mission right now. They only needed her."

You nodded again, holding his hand just a little bit tighter, not by much due to your low muscle strength though.

"The others have said a fair amount of stuff, but the gist of it is that they want to catch you up on everything you've missed when you're better." Loki told you, now standing by you as Bruce took over talking with the team.
