The elevator was crowded. When all the teens rushed into it, the receptionist shot them a questioning look. With one look from Alice, they were able to pass through.

Bella explained to Jayden that Alice's powers were illusion based. She could make things appear as other things and bend the mind. Jayden didn't pry. She also explained that Tory's powers were based on animals and Helena was a healing Witch. After a while, Jayden just kind of zoned out.

When the elevator reached the third floor, everyone hurried into the long hallway. Tory, Alice, Helena, and Bella followed Lucas as he checked each door. He seemed sure on which one he was looking for. Felix and Austin stayed behind with Jayden.

"How are you holding up?" asked Austin. Jayden looked up to meet his eyes. They were concerned and intent.

"Okay I guess," Jayden replied. "This is just kind of a little too crazy," he admitted. Austin chuckled.

"I remember when I found out," he said longingly. Jayden raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"How did you find out?" Jayden asked. Austin smiled.

"I was gardening with my mom once," he said softly. "I was six at the time and was already having an obsession with plants. When I was planting a flower, I hurt my hand. I started to cry and the plants in my mom's garden began to grow like crazy," he said. Jayden widened his eyes in surprise.

"What did she do?" he asked. Austin chuckled.

"She made brownies and made me eat them until I calmed down," he smiled. Jayden laughed and looked away. It was these kind of things that made him want to wrap his arms around Austin and snuggle into his chest. Felix kept glancing at them jealously.

Lucas turned another corner and stopped in front of an apartment, Jayden's apartment. There was a collective nervous energy from the Witches. Jayden rolled his eyes and pushed his way to reach his door.

"Woah, Jayden," There was a nervous tint to Lucas's voice. "We don't even know if the Seer is in there,"

"Yea but my grandma is," Jayden muttered. He took out a pair of keys and unlocked the door. There was a collective gasp.

"You live with the Seer," asked Tory incredulously. Jayden shook his head.

"I live with my grandma and there's no way in hell that she's this Seer that you guys keep talking about." He pushed the door open and walked in.

To his relief, his grandmother had decided to clean. Everything in his large apartment was neat and organized. Jayden didn't know how but his grandmother had money. Why she decided to always live in apartments was always a mystery to him. He walked towards his grandma's room and knocked lightly, she was probably taking a nap. Everyone stood in the living room awkwardly.

"I love your kitchen," Helena called. Jayden smiled to himself at her genuine kindness.

"Do you have any food," asked Alice loudly. Jayden heard a thump and then a moan of annoyance come from Alice. "What," she hissed at someone. "I'm hungry," Jayden decided to let his grandma finish her nap and walked back to his living room.

No one besides Alice had sat down. Lucas and Bella were discussing something while Helena looked through her phone. Alice sat grumpily at his kitchen's marble island and traced the marble's smoky pattern. Tory look bored and was examining her nails by his bookshelf. In the middle of the room, Austin and Felix glared at each other and glanced around Jayden's home.

"You guys can sit down you know," Jayden said awkwardly. He was never really one to invite friends over for hangouts. Everyone nodded in relief and made themselves comfortable. Jayden walked to his kitchen and pulled out a bag of potato chips. He tossed them to Alice and she smiled gratefully. That's when he noticed the lasagna.
