~~~Serena's View~~~
"So you're the Seer," said Serena. The old lady nodded. They were sitting in Serena's large living room, coffee poured for everyone courtesy to Xavier.
"I've been hiding for years, your Highness. I've trained many Witches back in Crysta," she said. She took a sip of her coffee.
"And my mother sent you," said Serena. Serena felt like that was a stab in the back. Her mother didn't think she was going to be good enough on her own. She had sent the Seer to help her.
"Actually, your Highness," chirped the Seer, "It took a lot of convincing before your mother obliged," she said matter-of-factly.
"What do you mean?" Serena asked hesitantly. The Seer looked up from her creamy coffee.
"The Council kept arguing that the Princess wouldn't be able to train the Divine Witches by herself. The Queen argued that you were capable of anything but the Council wasn't convinced," she explained. Serena nodded.
"They put it to a vote," muttered Serena. The Seer nodded.
"It was because of that Sezae fellow," she explained. "He said that the only suitable person to help was him. Creepy fellow he is," Serena shivered. She always found Sezae creepy.
"Why did she send you?" Serena asked. The Seer smiled.
"When the Queen saw that there was no other way to elude the situation, she sent for me. I was more than happy to help," she said. Serena realized that Sezae was probably furious that he didn't get to go to Earth.
"Power hungry leech," Xavier muttered under his breath. Bella smiled to herself, Xavier was finally getting comfortable around her. The Seer chuckled.
"Now," she clapped her hands, "On to more important matters. How many Witches have you begun to train," she asked. Serena blushed.
"None," she said sheepishly. The Seer raised her eyebrows and then laughed lightly.
"It's fine your Highness," she said. Serena frowned and then remembered something about her letter.
"My father sent me a letter and told me that I would meet one Witch tonight," she said. The Seer traced her coffee mug lightly.
"I don't think that would be a good idea, your Highness," she said softly. "I thought he was ready but," she trailed off.
"What are you talking about," Serena said softly. The Seer looked up to meet her with those wise gray eyes.
"My grandson Jayden. He doesn't even know he's a Witch," she whispered. Serena blinked at her. How had a Witch not noticed that his grandmother was the Seer?
"He doesn't even know," Serena said softly. The Seer shook her head. Her eyes looked sad.
"I was going to tell him today when he got home," she said sadly, "I was even preparing his favorite meal. Four cheese Lasagna," the Seer smiled sadly. "Then I got a letter from Crysta and decided that this was all too much for him. I want him to live a normal life," she smiled sadly. "One I nor his parents ever had." Serena reached out to hold her hands.
"Seer," she said softly, "It's better that you tell him now, before someone else does. Don't let him think that you've been lying to him," the Seer looked thoughtful.
"Call me Lakhota, your Highness," she said warmly. Serena smiled.
"And call me Serena. All this royalty stuff is getting old," she laughed. Lakhota smiled and laughed in return.
"I believe you're right your Hi- Serena," the name rolled off Lakhota's tongue. "My grandson deserves to know," she said brightly. "When he gets home-" Lakhota's voice stopped short. Serena felt her squeeze her hands tightly, painfully. She realized the Seer was having a vision.
