Trigger Warnings -
(Uhmm so after this chapter I actually will be winging it from there, hopefully I come up with some ideas but we'll see)
The ringing returned to Tommy's ears, loud as ever. Blood flashed before his eyes, every time Dream had hit him and kicked him in that cursed box under ground. All the memories down there were clouded with pain and tears, Dream had hurt him so bad, but he deserved it didn't he? No no no no no, it was too late, Tommy felt himself slipping back down the impossibly steep mental cliff. He had just started climbing up, he had just started getting better, even just slightly, but he had been trying so hard. He was trying, but now he didn't think he could bother- he was down further than he's ever been, and he saw no hope in climbing back up.
He didn't know who was carrying him, he assumed it was Dream taking him back to the box, that thought made him whimper, but this hold was too caring and warm, the person carrying him now pulled him closer out of protection when he whimpered and it scared Tommy. Who could be caring for him now? He didn't deserve this care.
Technoblade didn't even realize he had pulled Tommy closer when he had whimpered, but the Blade didn't mind. He tried not to look down at the bleeding boy, just hoping he'd be okay for a bit longer. The scene Technoblade came upon was one he would never expect to come upon.
Ranboo stood, seething with anger facing everybody, yelling at them. Ghostbur was no where to be found and some of the people there were trying to argue back but Ranboo didn't give them a second.
"You all just sat there!" He roared "while Dream took him away! At least I told Dream no! At least I said something! All of you! Just sat there, wide eyed like there was absolutely nothing you could do!"
"There wasn-" Nihachu tried to speak up, but the enderman hybrid wasn't having any of it.
"Yes there was! You could have said something! Anything! You could have gotten in his way! But no! You just sat there like. Helpless. little. rab-duc-bunnies!-" He struggled to find the right comparison, the only thing on his mind being absolute and total fury.
Technoblade cleared his throat, causing everyone to look over at him. Ranboo gasped at the sight of Tommy, others jaws dropped. "You all really can't do anything for a child on this server can you?" He asked, the voices coming back to haunt him, telling him to kill everyone there, some saying spare Ranboo, and others shouting E, gosh he hated the 'E' voices. "Tommy is coming to live with me." That's all Technoblade said as he started walking away, blonde boy still in his arms.
Ranboo nodded, glaring at the group of people before going to walk home to think. Once he arrived at his house he sat down at the table. Tommy was gone now, he wasn't going to see him ever again. Just as the thought materialized in his brain a knock in the door rang through the house. Standing up he walked over to the door wondering who had come to apologize or ask for something. Opening the door he was surprised to find the blood god himself standing there.
"Technoblade? Uhm, what are you doing here?" He asked, confused as anyone would be.
"Well Tommy is kind of bleeding out, and I'd prefer him not to die in my arms today soo-.." Technoblade trailed off and Ranboo got the hint, letting him in.
"Uhm, out him down on the couch! I'll go get some bandages." Ranboo left the room to the bathroom to grab the bandages for Tommy.
"Get some towels while your at it? And water." Technoblade called out. When Ranboo came back, Techno proceeded to clean off the wound on Tommy. While doing so Techno realized how many old ones Tommy had been harboring. It made the Blade cringe but he finished cleaning and started to wrap Tommy in bandages. The whole mission took about 30 minutes and may or may not have left a stain or two on Ranboo's couch.
"Thanks." Techno muttered, before standing up. "Well, I'm going to head out now..." he hesitated for a moment, "you can visit any time you want Ranboo, since you seem to at least care a little." He scooped Tommy back up in his arms.
Ranboo's eyes lit up with hope at this. "R-really? Uh thanks Techno."
"No problem kid." He mumbled before heading towards the door. "See you around." He kicked open the door, possibly breaking it, and left the house.
Heading for the nether portal Technoblade spotted a familiar boy standing at the community house bridge. Not wanting to confront Tubbo that much he stayed quiet preparing to pass the boy. He walked right past Tubbo who stood there a moment in surprise before calling him out.
"What are your still doing here Technoblade!" He asked. Technoblade turned around to face Tubbo with a death glare.
"Well, Tommy was bleeding and I'm not going to bring him through the nether just for him to bleed up out on me." Techno replied, hostility taking over his tone and stance.
Tubbo cocked an eyebrow, as if to ask if Techno was serious. "Since when did you care about Tommy, mr Blade? You killed his best friend!" He took a swing at this argument.
"Still on about that? Since when did you stop caring about Tommy? Hm? I mean you exiled him after all." Techno was quick to shoot Tubbo down, absent mindedly pulling Tommy closer to him in a protective manner.
"It was a ultimatum! I didn't have a choice." Tubbo pointed at him, anger growing.
"Sure you did." He spat. "It was Tommy, your best friend, or L'manburg, your country." He raised his voice, eyes blood red as he tried to block out the voices. "And you picked your country, the one Tommy... gave, you." He turned around and walked away leaving Tubbo standing dumbfounded as he realized how much truth Technos words held.
