Chapter 22: Crazed Fan

A few days later, Jungkook and Yumi hadn't said much to each other. Yumi felt a little more liberated since the break and Jungkook was mostly unmotivated to do a lot of things other than help his hyungs or join them in meals. One afternoon while Yumi was cooking lunch on her own, Jimin approached her to have a conversation.

"I've noticed that you and Jungkook don't talk a lot lately," he commented.

"We're taking a break," she replied.

"For how long?"

"I'm not sure but Jungkook said it was up to me."

"And what if you don't want the break to end?"

Yumi frustratingly put down her knife and looked Jimin dead in the eye.

"Listen Jimin, you have messed with our relationship too much. If it wasn't for you, I would have never felt confused about my feelings for Jin. Jungkook and I would not be where we're at if it wasn't for you. So please, just stay out of it alright? Let me figure out my own thoughts without your's confusing me for once, please."

Jimin had no words as Yumi continued giving him a death stare. Seeing that he had no response, she continued cutting the vegetables. Jimin left the kitchen without saying another word and left her to finish lunch. During lunch, Namjoon received a call from Manager Sejin and was kind of concerned when he hung up.

"What's wrong hyung?" Taehyung asked.

"Manager Sejin told me that there's been a leak," Namjoon told everyone.

"A leak of what?" Yoongi asked.

"Someone released a video of our performance of "Magic Shop" for Yoonah along with photos of Yumi and Jungkook being really intimate at the event."

"Intimate, how?" Yumi asked.

"Manager Sejin said there was a photo of you guys hugging while Yumi cried after Jin's video..." Namjoon replied.

"Oh, hugging isn't that bad, people can just think we're friends," Jungkook commented.

"Yeah but...he said there was a second one of you guys...kissing," Namjoon added.

"Kissing?!" everyone exclaimed in unison.

"When did you guys kiss?" J-Hope asked them.

"It was right after your performance, I kissed Jungkook as a thank you," Yumi answered.

"Did Manager Sejin say how bad the situation is?" Jungkook asked.

"The photos are all over the internet and people keep tagging us on Twitter," Jimin said as he looked at his phone.

"What are people saying?" Yumi said.

"People are mad that Jungkook has a girlfriend and never said anything. However, lots of other people are saying they support him," Jimin added.

"What do we do now?" Jungkook said.

"Manager Sejin said to just wait this one out and let it die out on its own. If we try to clear up the situation, we might end up making it worse without meaning to," Namjoon shared.

"I wish we at least knew who posted it so we could have a little chat with them," Jungkook said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Oh I know exactly who posted it," Yumi said as her arms were crossed and her eyes were narrowed thinking about the person.

"Who?" they all asked in unison.

"I don't want to alarm all of you with it, I'll take care of the situation. Let's just enjoy our lunch," she said.

"You don't have to tell me twice," Yoongi said as he continued to eat.

They all giggled at his response and finished their meal. Jungkook, surprisingly, helped Yumi clean the table and waited for her to finish doing dishes.

"Who posted the video and the photos?" he asked Yumi again.

"I knew you were helping me for a reason," she said.

"Who did it?" Jungkook insisted.

"Ugh fine, I'll tell you f*cking nosy," she said and playfully pushed him, "Let's talk in my room."

Once in Yumi's room, she grabbed her phone from the charger and opened her camera roll. She then showed Jungkook a picture of her, her mother, a woman, and a teenager.

"Who are the lady and the girl? I remember seeing them at the party but we never talked," Jungkook commented.

"That girl is Kimiko but she goes by Kimi. The lady next to her is her mother."

"Ok and?"

"Her dad is American and when he divorced her mom, he moved to America with Kimi and she lived there with him for ten years. However, when she got into BTS a couple years ago, around the "Butter" era, she moved back here to Seoul with her mom to be closer to you guys."

"So she posted the video and photos?"

"Yes and I have a theory as to why."

"Tell me."

"Her mother swore to keep me working for you guys a secret from her daughter but the day of the party, she couldn't find someone to watch her daughter so she took her there. You can imagine how much she must've freaked out when she saw you guys there, especially you Jungkook because you're her bias and she is massively in love with you."

"You think she posted it out of jealousy?"

"Exactly my point."

"What is she like, 15?"

"16 to be exact but yes, she is very young."

"I need to go talk to her."

"Jungkook! Are you crazy? There is no way I am letting you go talk to her."

"She doesn't know what she did wrong and she's probably super angry at you, me, her mom, and everyone else who kept us a secret from her. If I talked to her, she could at least relax and not cause us any more problems in the future."

Yumi stopped to think for a minute.

"Fine we can both go talk to her."

A few days later, after coordinating with Kimi's mother, they went to her place in disguise to have a chat with her.
