A/N- To repay you guys for not updating yesterday, I made a somewhat longer chapter today. Hope you enjoy. Love you guys always!

When it was time to leave Mondstadt, you looked all around for Razor, but you couldn't find him. This didn't worry you that much- you just thought that he was adventuring around the city, and waited by the gate for about an hour. When he didn't come to you in that hour, then you got anxious, and went to the Knights of Favonius for help finding him.

Lisa was in her library working on documents, but when she heard you panicking and crying in the hallway, she raced out and asked you what was wrong. When she learned that Razor was lost, she, too, panicked a little bit. She tore open the door to Acting Grand Master Jean's room, disturbing Kaeya, who was reading a book at her desk.

"Kaeya, where's Jean?" she yelled at the cavalry captain.

Kaeya shot up in the chair, immediately dropping the book, seemingly shocked by Lisa's outburst of emotion.

"She's away for the week. Is something wrong?" he asked.

Noticing your tears, he went over to your side and rubbed your shoulder blades in a gentle yet firm massage. His attentiveness to you only made you cry more. You didn't work well when people showed love to you.

"What's wrong, y/n? Is it the wolf boy? Is he hurt?"

You couldn't respond. Overcome with tears, you collapsed into a chair next to Lisa, who seemed twice as worried about you as Kaeya. She took your hands in hers, but you immediately tore them out, leaving her glancing at you awkwardly, with a gaze that begged for you to stop crying, to feel better.

"Y/n can't find Razor. They're worried about him," she explained to Kaeya. At last, she'd made the effort to explain! You could roll your eyes at her stupidity, if you had the energy. Right then, all you had the energy to do was nod when Kaeya asked you, "Is that right?" and then burst into another round of body-shaking sobs.

"Alright, darling," Lisa said, her tone a bit irritated. "There's no need to cry that much. We'll find your wolf boy. He'll be fine."

Kaeya nodded and said, "Let me get the knights together. We'll find him, don't worry. You stay here. We'll get Noelle to get you some tea."

Noelle was the maid of the Knights of Favonious, a kind and hardworking girl whose dream was to become an official knight. However as of now, she wasn't, and made it her goal to learn knightly ways by serving as their maid. You dare say that she was better than many of the actual knights- but that was probably just because you liked her a lot.

You lifted your hand up to your two companions, in a gesture telling them to wait for a moment and be silent. Both of them received the cue and took it well, heading back to your side and meeting your eyes.

"Don't call the knights together. We can do this by ourselves. It's better that way, so we won't have to bother the knights or scare Razor."

"Scare him?" Kaeya said, not understanding what you just said.

"He might be scared if someone he doesn't know approaches him, says he's a friend of someone he loves, and tells him to go with them. I mean, it's a bit suspicious, right? Also, I would like to save him myself," you elaborated.

Both Kaeya and Lisa looked satisfied by this plan, and they armed themselves before going out, Kaeya with a sword and Lisa with a catalyst. You wondered if you should ask for a sword, claymore, or even a bow to use to defend yourself, but then you decided against it. After all, this city was kind to you, and you weren't even that good at fighting in the first place. So you headed out unarmed.

"Let's split up," Lisa suggested. "We can cover more ground that way."

Both of you agreed, and you set off to the lower levels of Mondstadt, by the tavern and request board, to look for Razor. After about thirty minutes of searching, you couldn't find him, and looked at the request board to see if anyone had written anything about him.

As if by magic, there it was. A report, recently penned down, about a strange white-haired boy that was hiding behind the cathedral, saying that he was lost and that he was looking for his friends. The report said that he was highly emotional and wouldn't respond when the writer asked him if he wanted to come to his home and wait for them there. The writer closed by saying he hoped that whoever was friends with this boy could find him and bring him home.

Without a second thought, you raced towards the cathedral, hoping that Razor was still there, hoping that he was the strange boy that was mentioned. You hadn't even noticed that, when you were at the request board, someone was watching you from behind you, someone that wasn't a normal human, but rather a Fatui agent. You hadn't noticed that the handwriting on the request was messy and smeared, too imperfect to be human. It had to be a monster's.

All of these telltale signs of danger that were evident, you ignored, your mind full with the thought of meeting Razor again, comforting him, holding his warm body to your chest and stroking his long white hair. You were too foolish to study your surroundings. And for that, you would pay the price.

When you reached the cathedral, you realized that that note was suspicious. The signs of danger blazed up in your head like a fire. You spun around to run back to where Kaeya and Lisa were searching, back to safety, but it was too late.

"Good day, traveler," a Fatui agent said from behind you.

You felt the slash of cold metal across your back. Then darkness came upon you.
