A spacecraft plummeting through space would have been deemed normal before the world had turned into a bundle of chaos. It was a shame they weren't in a world like that anymore, a world full of happiness and laughter.

Genesis had always dreamed of what the earth was like all those decades ago. She wondered what it would feel like to have the sun piercing through her skin, she wondered if the grass was as soft against her toes as she imagined it would be.

The thing she wanted to know the most was what the moon looked like from a different view. She had only ever seen it through the ceiling window in her cell, staring at the moon was what kept her sane while she was alone.

Sounds of crackling sounded through the air as Genesis reluctantly opened her eyes. She came to view the scene around her, many prisoners like herself were strapped down in a ship that the guards had led them into, or for her case, carried.

A round of screams filled Genesis ears as the ship went through the atmosphere, scaring many of the teenagers upon the ship. She looked around to see the scared looks upon everyone's faces, she presumed that some people had no idea what was going on. They mustn't of had someone explain to them what was happening.

"What was that?" A brunette girl from beside Genesis asked. She looked above her head to see if by some chance the ceiling would collapse on them at any moment.

"It was the atmosphere." Genesis told her. "It's normal, I'm pretty sure." The brunettes eyes snapped towards Genesis and she gave her a thankful smile for responding to her.

It had really happened. For the first time in centuries, humans had left the Ark. She glanced at the other passengers and saw that they had all gone quiet as well, a spontaneous moment of silence for the world they were leaving behind.

But the solemnity didn't last long. For the next twenty minutes, the dropship was filled with the nervous, overexcited chatter of a hundred people who, until a few hours ago, had never thought about going to Earth.

"Prisoners of the Ark, here me now." Genesis looked from the girl beside her to see a now turned on screen that held the chancellor of the Ark on display. "You've been given a second chance, and as your chancellor, it is my hope that you see this as not just a chance for you, but a chance for all of us, indeed for mankind itself."

Everyone's eyes were glued to the screen as the most hated man spoke to them about a second chance of a life they shouldn't of had ruined in the first place.

"We have no idea what is waiting for you down there. If the odds of survival were better, we would've sent others. Frankly, we're sending you because your crimes have made you expendable. And if somehow you do survive, those crimes will be forgiven, your records wiped clean."

"Your dads a dick Wells!"

A round of laughter surrounded the room as one of the delinquents continued to harass Wells. Genesis knew that he was the chancellors son but she had never met him due to being locked up. Though, she could tell by people's reactions to him being on the ship that it wasn't the best for him to be here.

"The drop site has been chosen carefully. Before the last war, Mount Weather was a military base built within a mountain. It was to be stocked with enough non perishables to sustain three hundred people for up to two years."
