nine"Where the hell did you come from?" One of the guys asked Genesis as they watched her emerge from round the corner. She stared at them, out of breath, she was hoping that this was the cave Bellamy ran into so she couldn't be more disappointed, well, that's if he made it into a cave.
He could have gotten caught up in the fog that seemed to burn people at it's touch. Genesis remembered that her arm got slightly burnt when she tried to save Atom, but she had obviously failed.
She looked down at her arm, it wasn't too severe but it was clearly burnt. She touched it with her other hand and hissed out in pain, forgetting that there was a group of boys staring at her.
"Oh, I was with Bellamy and... we got separated." Genesis told them, feeling uncomfortable in their watchful eyes.
One of the boys noticed her boy language and he realised that she probably felt uncomfortable around a group of guys staring at her. "I'm Caleb, this is Jamie and Graham." He pointed to each boy along with himself.
"Genesis." The brunette smiled, suddenly feeling a lot more at ease with knowing the boys names, though she was still unsure whether they would hurt her her or not. She was going to have to spend a little time in this cave with them.
"Are you the one that went to go save that kid that's dying?" Jamie asked her, to which Genesis rolled her eyes.
"I am but I should tell you that he's not dying, Clarke went to find the medicine for his wounds." Genesis informed him. She walked further in the cave and sat down against the wall.
"Sounds like it from those screams every damn day." Graham spoke up.
"He's getting better. Trust me, we're not ready to give up on him just yet." Genesis told them.
Genesis leaned her head back on the wall, taking a deep breath as she took in what was actually happening. She was in a cave, with 3 random boys and she nearly died. It was a lot to take in.
She was also worried about Bellamy. She wondered whether or not he was okay. She partly regretted turning back to help Atom, otherwise she would be with Bellamy right now. But the other part of her was proud at herself for at least trying to help him.
Time passed incredibly slowly, she was starting to get bored and she had no one to speak to since all three boys had went to sleep, not that she would want to speak to them anyways. She had only slept a little while, she wasn't able to get to sleep properly, scared of what was to happen since she actually is in danger.
She saw light beginning to emerge round the corner of the cave, starting to work its way through, it was no longer night anymore. Genesis noticed that there wasn't a yellow hue turning the bright light yellow this time.
"Hey, guys." Genesis called out to the three boys, easily waking them up. It wasn't too easy to sleep in this place. "I think it's safe to get out of here."
"How do you know?" Caleb stood up, stretching as he yawned.
"Lights shining through into the cave from round the corner, it isn't a yellow light anymore." Genesis told them.
They all got themselves ready to emerge out of the cave, the boys grabbing their weapons and Genesis wiped the dirt off of her trousers. She stifled a yawn, she was so tired, the lack of sleep being the reason for that.
