I don't own any of the characters. All credit goes to the Epic J.K. Rowling of course and always.

Harry

I pushed past the flames into my kitchen. The kitchen was empty but distant chatters echoed around. Quickly dropping my bag, I ran upstairs and officers roamed the room. There were charred wood black spots on the walls of the staircase that led above and the wooden railing was broken midway. The front door was destroyed to ashes. I turned into the dining room to find Ron and Hermione stood in a corner.

"Where's Ginny?" I pushed past the crowd of aurors to them.

"She went upstairs." Hermione whispered, "Said to take care of things here, while she calms the kids down. She's probably in Teddy's room with them."

"Okay." I nodded and ran for the stairs. Avoiding all the investigators who were nodding at me as I jumped up. Finally after a high jog, I reached the floor and walked slowly to Teddy's room, composing myself for the kids. Ginny was tucking James in a bed while Albus was asleep already.

"Gin?" I whispered. She looked up from James and her face was stained. She was pale. She picked up a baby monitor and walked out, asking me to move before shutting the door but slightly leaving it ajar. She exhaled a breath and then turned to me.

"Teddy..." Her voice was heavy. I wrapped an arm around her shoulders and squeezed her into me. Her arms came around my waist and tightened, "Lily..."

"We'll find them." I stroked her hair with my fingers, trying to ease out the tension. My heart was pounding. One was my responsibility since his parents passed and the other was my own, seven months daughter. I couldnt have been more scared. My daughter... someone took my children.

"Ginny, easy." I spoke with my own heart in pain, "He's a strong boy. We'll find them. Trust me."

She wiped her tears away and nodded. Kissing her forehead, I caressed her cheek with my thumb.

"But I need my wife by my side."

She nodded.

"Come on. You have to give a statement."

"Yeah." She exhaled a loud breath and we headed downstairs. As we did so, aurors moved out of the way and I led her to the dining lounge. I asked Barnsite to take her statement. They sat on the chairs and I slid one beside her, taking it.

"So, what happened?" Barnsite asked.

"Erm, we were having lunch in the dining lounge and then there was a blast by the door. James and Albus insisted on staying downstairs for food, so when it happened, I asked Teddy to follow me with Lily whom he was holding." She spoke as if she'd rehearsed the statement before, "But, erm.." She cleared her throat, "...he didnt follow. By the time I reached Albus and James, he was gone. I ran up with them and found no one. Then I heard some blasts and ran upstairs. The window in Lily's room was shattered and I couldnt find Teddy anywhere."

"What about Lily?"

"I looked everywhere for her. They took her too."

He muttered a curse as the pen wrote it down on the notepad on the table.

"James and Albus were with you the whole time?"

She nodded.

"Did you see the face of the intruder?"

"No." She shook her head.

"Ginny, how many were there? Could you guess?"

"I could count two different footsteps." She rubbed her temple, "Two windows shattered at the same time. One was my room and the other Lily's."
