I don't own any of the characters. All credit goes to the Epic J.K. Rowling of course and always.
Harry
I hissed when I felt a sprain in my thigh. Grunting, I woke up and felt the jolt of pain. Using my knuckles, I massaged the pain through and when it finally subsided, I found the bed empty beside me. I sat up, looking around, only to find Ginny curled up in a chair beside the fireplace. She was reading a book with a throw on her legs.
"You okay?" She looked up from the book to me.
"Yeah. What're you doing?" I rubbed my eye and found my glasses. Putting them on, I could see her clearly.
"Nothing." She gave a week smile. I squinted at her and slid out. Putting on a pair of pyjamas and shirt, I stood behind her and looked over her shoulder the book she was reading.
"What're you reading?"
"About your condition."
"My condition?" My brows knit up.
"What you are going through is uncontrollable magic, like the one you experience when you are a child."
"What do you mean?"
"Sit."
I sat on the chair across from hers.
"Do you remember when you set a python on your cousin?"
I snickered.
"Once!" I quickly added, trying not to sound like a git.
"Yeah, well, you didn't do it on purpose but you made the glass disappear and the python came out. The point is, you had magic but you were unaware of it. Just like that, there is some sort of magic in you that you arent understanding." She spoke licked her lips, "Like the blue flame or unknowingly levitating a bottle of water in your fingers."
"When do I do that?"
"All the time." She pursed her lips.
"I didnt realize."
"Harry, you spent years reading magic, learning it and knowing that it was the thing you needed the most. Its still a part of you, which is why, you keep practicing it, learning it. Over the years, the Boy Who Lived put so much pressure on you that you put all of your energy into being that wizard. You dont just defeat the darkest wizard of all time and then turn into a normal boy." She shook her head, "Your practice, your levels of strength, don't just disappear. As you grow, your body grows, your soul grows, it tethers together into a power that you havent accepted yet. Which is why, you're... whats the term... radioactive."
"So you're saying, I'm suppressing it so its..."
"Expanding. Ready to explode all the time."
"Well, that... isn't what I thought this would."
"What'd you think, a wizard's disease where you snort out magic?" She shook her head and my cheeks tinted red, "Oh, my God." She cupped her mouth, with her shoulders bobbing in a laugh.
I shook my head, still processing what she said. I heard shuffling and then she was sitting in my lap in the large chair with legs kicked off the arm rest.
"Its just going to be a bit of work Harry. Nothing lethal. Nothing too bad. Okay?" I matched her perfectly dark eyes, "Nothing is wrong with you." She pecked my lips.
"Come sleep." I buried my face in her neck.
"Okay."
